Actually no I haven't. A first and a second round pick is actually greater value then two 1st round picks with a second round pick going back your way (13 for 24).

I mean; we could just as easily ontrade our pick 24 with the second round pick you give us (Say... pick 22) for a pick in the low teens anyway. It all works out the same.

Either option works for me.

Either way, I'm still very confident a deal will get done Monday

Don't belive that tripe Michaelangelo Rucci writers. He is a massive pile of dog doo doo. Imagine Eddie Mcguire writing Carlton articles the week you plsy Collingwood, Rucci is worse than that.

He is a liar, a cheat and a hypocrite.

He's a disgruntled employee for reasons I just gave. Angry girlfriend and mother of his son at home who wants to go back to Adelaide.

Are you married brother?

Aye, aye, aye. So this amounts to Gibbs being a disgruntled employee.

Gibbs, who has three years of a contract he willingly signed is now disgruntled with the Carlton Football Club, because the club is doing it's business properly and wanting him to fulfil his obligation.............but the family isn't happy? Wow.

God forbid we grow up and start sending players off to all parts of the country on a whim as other sports do....won't so many girlfriends be so unhappy....What to do?

They would say that...In reality they want to grab another 1st round pick via Hartlett and Lobbe is no good.

Power definitely have no cap space - Picked up Dixon and Ryder last two years with their firsts (and would be on decent money), Hartlett and Lobbe on long term deals (and Hartlett on good money also reportedly).

Would assume R Gray and Wingard/Boak are on decent coin also.

Made a play after 2014 for a flag and didn't come off, now they need to offload Hartlett and Lobbe to free up some coin and get back into the draft.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and assume you don't work for your companies HR division.

If what he has done wrong has lead to the need for family issues it has nothing to do with the Carlton Football Club. It is a Bryce Gibbs issue which he needs to sort out.

He has three years left on a contract, I cannot remember any player asking to get out with three years left.

If it was a result of something out of his control such as what happened with Bell last year of course the club helps the player.

If it is something self imposed well then it is a different kettle of fish.

If every player who got themselves into trouble off the field in the 1970's and 80's at the Blues decided to leave the club to sort out the problem we would not have had many players left.

Yeah man. Bryce Gibbs the human being is going home to a girlfriend that is nagging him to move back to Adelaide. Even though he prefers Melbourne and he's bound to a five year contract, it has gotten to the point that he has asked the club to trade him to Adelaide.

Adelaide have put a contract offer up and are offering fair compensation in the form of a first and a second round pick for a player who will be 28 years old at the start of next season.

Bryce Gibbs' employer the Carlton football club not letting him go will more likely than not result in a disgruntled employee. Put yourself in the same situation.

We can discuss the intricacies of contract law all you want, but I'm not exactly persuaded Bryce Gibbs or his family are going to be particularly happy if he's not traded to South Australia. God help us if next year she ups and moves back there anyway.

Im starting to think our second and next years second for marchbank and pickett should be enough...n hey the might even throw in stewart since nexts years picks have premium cost for them. keep 13 from the crows. I can see you believe that as he is the only non Crows ambassador in the SA media so does not tow the crows line, however he is correct that Carlton are aggrieved by how this was handled. I'm sure a deal will be done, but not a steal as hoped by Roo and Elbows, but a fair deal in Carlton's favour too.

How do you know?

Edit: look, this is not my board and it's not yours. Its best you don't reply as I won't reply to you.

I think if we could get the GWS deal done for 2 seconds we may accept 13 for Gibbs. We probably don't want to trade Gibbs for Marchbank and Pickett.

I think it's more or less accepted that we'll get pick 13 and a second rounder [if they can get that for Lyons] off the crows.

If Zac goes we should get a second rounder for him as well.

We can then trade two of those second rounders to the Giants for Marchbank and pickett, or ontrade them for another pick in the low teens and give that to the Giants.

That leaves us with pick 5 and pick 13 and a spare second rounder in the 20s left, in addition to the Giants lads. Plus all our 2017 picks are intact.

I don't know anything about Rucci but there is a woman on twitter with notoriously good Carlton mail (to the point where she once tweeted our draft picks the night before the draft) who is backing Ruccis take.
