Question is was it a latte or cappacino???
Why is he disgruntled? Prove it?
Leadership is another issue but please tell us what has brought about Gibbs being disgruntled at the CFC? Are you making things up now?
Why retain a 27-year-old player that wants to be elsewhere? During a rebuild of the list? When that player has value and we hold all the cards?.
Whilst there where whispers over the past 8 weeks of Bryce wanting to return to Adelaide for family reasons it was not considered serious. We were taken by surprise at the Crows announcement on Monday as we believed the talk would pass and Bryce indicated all was ok in his exit meeting.
The club and Bryce have spoken over the past couple of days and it's been made clear that if any trade were to occur it would need to significantly benefit the club - Bryce whilst preferring to return to Adelaide will accept our position and fulfill his contract if this is the case.
We do expect Adelaide to up the offer early next week.
You forgot about the Royal Commission in the Football Park Lights...Uhh, we'll it's the biggest think to happen in Adelaide since Rodney Fox had a chunk taken out of him by a shark, but lived to open his own Rodney Fox shark museum in Glenelg.
I don't know .....
0% chance, like Gibbs cutting off his man bun when he gets to the crows.Again I say, Port do have space. They can roll over Ryder and Monfries 2016 salary into 2017. They've lost Carlisle and Schulz so thats over $1.5 million to play with.
He has approached the club and asked to be traded to Adelaide for family reasons. His girlfriend is on record in an article from earlier on in the year saying she finds life difficult in Melbourne without family support. Put two and two together.
I'm not exactly persuaded that retaining him is in the best interests of Bryce Gibbs or of the club.
You've made a lot of arbitrary assumptions based on the one cup of coffee.
Tin-foil stuff.
You forgot about the Royal Commission in the Football Park Lights...
True, but not for lack of $$$0% chance, like Gibbs cutting off his man bun when he gets to the crows.
your first paragraph is why the crows will low-ball us and hope we blink.
personally i'm fine with Gibbs either staying or going, but i feel we're not gonna be able to get his full value.
13 plus shiny steak knives is full value. As long as those steak knives are equal in value to at least a mid second round pick or pick downgrade from the 2nd to the first round.
They've offered 13 and Lyons. Lyons is probably worth a pick in the mid to late 20s. With six clubs interested in Lyons, and Adelaide a good chance of obtaining a mid second round draft pick for him, I personally think that's where the hold up is.
If Lyons leaves for a second round pick, Bryce Gibbs will be traded for 13 and that pick.
Not really.
1 - He has a chat with the Adelaide captain
2 - Shortly thereafter, we find out he wants to move back to Adelaide
3 - The CROWS were the ones who let the cat out of the bag
3 - ZERO talk from the Port Adelaide camp signalling Bryce is open to heading there if Crows can't get a deal done
4 - Port even mentioning that they've spoken to Bryce would put even more pressure on Crows to pay up. No way would the Crow supporters want them to miss out on Bryce to Port. There would be outrage.
5 - Crows are closer to a flag than Port. That's just a fact whether you like it or not. Bryce is 27 he is midway through his career why would he want to go to a side that's sliding down the ladder to where his current club is sitting?
6 - Port clearly do have room for Bryce despite your constant posturing that they don't. Worst case, we help pay his salary for a season, it's not like we can't afford it.
So, clearly it's not tin-foil hat stuff, it's called common sense.

That would be a p.....r!Again I say, Port do have space. They can roll over Ryder and Monfries 2016 salary into 2017. They've lost Carlisle and Schulz so thats over $1.5 million to play with.
But that's not being disgruntled.
Are you positing the Crows are interested?
You have no evidence other than deduction that no contact has been made by Gibbs to Port or Port to Gibbs.
Not tall enough?
Mate, If your wife pressures you to ask your employer for a trade to another state, and you reluctantly do so, but your employer refuses to trade you, how does that go down?
She gonna be happy? Are you?
Wrong choice of words, none of it is unrealistic , but the question is will it happen.
Malman, you're a barrister. SOS & Co have the upper hand and are playing the game. We can wait until mid next week to see exactly where Adelaide lands. Their offer won't get worse but it might get better.
Added to that, the club clearly prefers Gibbsy to meet his contract.
Doesn't do much besides a few flashy plays.
We won't accept anything short of a deal in our favour. Adelaide are exploring options and we expect to hear more early next week. Else Bryce stays. Thanks for putting it so succinctly and logically, much appreciated.
What's your gut feel of the possible outcome
