BT on Puopolo kicking a goal after running past Laidler to get the ball. Some magic commentary.

"He said you're Laidler and I'm Puopolo"

I guess it's a fact though, not something BT is usually too good with.
 
All things considered, that was Brian Taylors best Saturday night call of the season. Kind of like the kid at class who usually fails tests getting a C- instead of an F. Was just bearable, especially compared to his usual rubbish.

He seems to jack up the 'entertainment call' if the game is fairly non-descript, eg the GWS games.

I would actually love for someone to create a video compilation of players kicking goals and highlighting what BT thinks the goalkicker said to his opponent after kicking it. Would be quite a lengthy clip I'd presume.
 
Luke Darcy calling the Hawks game. And he's not that bad, certainly better than his 'analysis' work anyway...
 
No greater than, say, Hamish McLachlan or Kelli Underwood, which is to say he exceeded my expectations as a play-by-play caller.

I disagree. I only watched bits and pieces of the game but it seemed Darcy was trying to call the game AND provide his 'special' comments at the same time. I actually thought he was as woeful as he usually is. Tim Watson (not that I rate him very highly as a commentator either) was barely able to get a word in.

Think that may have been because it was a dogs game. Darcy was pumping up a lot of tiers, which you'd think wouldn't happen if it was a 'neutral' game.

Still, gimme that over him pissfarting around with Sam lane and Mick molloy any day of the week
 
Gee Darce, Freo beating the Cats would be the upset of the year? Can't think of a stupider comment, ever, by anyone, even if it was a cats home game.

Also said that Duncan's goal in the last quarter may have been the nail in the coffin. There was about 9 minutes to go and the Cats were up by less than 3 goals.
