Buddy Draft?

I saw this http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=287495 (also here http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=279367) on the Freo board and thought it might be something fun the Carlton fans could get into?

Sorry if this has already been done or brought up previously but i couldn't find a thread on it.

What would peoples opinions be on doing something like this?

I started a thread on this a while back, but there didn't seem to be much interest in it at all.

I would be interested in doing it, but I don't know if we will have enough interest.

That's the basic idea-you get to report on the player all year round, and brag about him etc. Reports of their progress at training, and even match reports would be great.

As I said, you only draft one player from the Blues (either the rookie or senior list), and report on their progress throughout the year etc.

Good, but unless we get more interest, the buddy draft won't happen. We only have about a quarter of required participants.

Good to hear you are interested. Now we only need about 28 more Carlton supporters to have a similar interest. Would really like to get it up and running, but I think we will struggle for numbers.

Not if you draft someone who will play the majority of the season in the seniors.

If you pick someone that is likely to spend large amounts of time in the VFL, make an effort to get down there or find out how your Buddy went.
