Except for the last 90 seconds there is decided lack of intensity to our game play.

Its allowing Free to just pick their way through our lax midfield and straight through our defence.

Its not over, but if they came out and look to continue with the hand ball happy garbage of the first half. It soon will be.

It even sh*t me how Bev spoke about Sam D this week. “He might start as a key defender and end up being a ruck forward” Hiw can the kid get excited about his career and honing his craft when his got no idea where the f*ck he’ll be playing.

Kid could potentially be an all time great back man or 800 goal forward but his career is already being defined as a jack of all.

Bevo's idea for improving this team would be to drop West for someone like Hannan for that extra experience, and that's where the problem is at.

I can’t watch the game unfortunately, but from listening to the radio it sounds like our usual defensive strategy is causing the same problems it always does.

No one taking accountability for their man, no pressure, easy marks inside their fwd 50…… I’ve said this before but whichever coach is responsible for our defence and defensive strategies all over the ground needs to be fired at the end of the season. Compare the way we play to the best teams like those that played on Friday night, and it’s chalk and cheese. We are getting killed by poor coaching.

It’s a damn shame. But hopefully we see change at the end of the year.

Smith was doing defense coaching. Don't blame bevo for the defense. It's Smith's job to work defense. He's been the doing the job I think since 2017 so it's probably why the defense has been a mixed bag since then.

That’s the thing though it doesn’t seem like much with 40 points, but that’s not taking into account the entries they get which aren’t scores but are then locked in their defence for repeat entries.
