Cant answer this one, never bought a system or subscribed to a ratings service.Know plenty who have & theyre still looking.IMO the only decent system is one you develop yourself & test over 1000's of races.Youre a young guy,if you plan to do this start now, testing on paper.
If you are successful, would you sell it? Of course not.

Thats an interesting comment, one I certainly agree with. Particularly in Victoria at the moment with 7 day a week racing, and an abundance of metro meetings of different standards. The pros can probably keep up with the Terang Monday winners who come to the Valley and win on a Friday night, but its pretty tough for most to be on top of.Im not a large punter on thoroughbreds.
I find it impossible to keep up with the form, theres too many horses.
Harness Racing has clear patterns & there are less horses to keep tabs on.

At the same time, harness racing tends to be a game that serves up more short priced runners and much more dependent on times, trials and race patterns.
im not in a bad mood mate, ive lost money but not nearly as much as i have before....
Im a big follow of Magic Instinct, and so too ar emany on this board who followed it last prep, but at the distance it wasnt a shot clear as that....
lol, Churchill downs just didnt race at his best, Magic Instinct did but at the distance is no good...
yes seth i will accept this but i made this comment about 3 months ago!!! dont get carried away mate, he has only won a weak race at caulfield against average horses. when i say "over-rated" this was when he was competing in a group 2 event where he was racing against far better horses.Who was it that was bagging King Of Ashford after the Sandown Classic?

I reckon sometimes harness racing suffers because of the form in the TABs pushes mug punters into the fancied runners (or it creates the fancied runners), particularly the Bill Hutchison tips, anything he selects tends to be under the odds. Im not sure he tips favourites, I reckon he creates them. Its true that often in harness racing there appears to be only 2-3 chances in many races according to the market.
But remember,punters love favourites,everyone's looking for a "quick/easy $"
did he ever leaveThanks Helmie. GO OLLIE! His back in town!!!!
and don't worry, half the time Hutchy will be told NOT to tip a horse on occasion too.
You beat me to it.
Let's just say some of these tips may not be the 'real thing'.

At Morphettville, race 3 Drink Up Mason, race 6 Reshuffles appear the best.
Well GF,what did you honestly think of MF's effort today?
Ill give you 1st crack at it,then Ill reply with my thoughts ok?
yes i thought she was dissapointing. weather she was a bit dour after her last start win in the oaks, or she was a bit flat after that tough preparation, who knows...we will get a better guide as she has more runs this time in.
As for King Of Ashford, you are correct that he didnt beat much today.
Fact is that he was better than those, isnt it ironic that they bet $12.
No,I didnt back the horse but it was a soft win today.
His run in the S Classic was very good IMO,he was given no hope.
I was surprised you bagged the trainer, unless he told the jockey to come from last.Hardly the horses fault but we are obviously talking semantics here.
yes i bagged the trainer and now look, o he is under someone elses wing, what a surprise. he beat horses that were either below average or stayers resuming so to me he is still an "over-rated" horse in group 2 events.
go fullta; yes i thought she was dissapointing. [B said:Ok,credit to you at least for not trotting out "the rail was off" rubbish.
IMO if she had to go round horses she would have run near last
Even Hayes didnt bag the ride, for a change.
She may be a bit dour but lets be honest, who's fault is that?
Youd be hoping she needs a trip now because on that performance she couldnt beat any of the placegetters this prep, all had way tougher runs.
Marasco sat 3 & 4 wide the entire race & ran past her.
Aqua D'more missed the start 3 & beat her home again, she was also 1st up.
I wonder if Dubai's still on the agenda?
She's now had 2 goes out of her own age & hasnt placed.
Futurity looks like crunch time.I stand by my statement, champion 3yo filly.
