Avoiding ground war for a while I think. The chaos is hard to get used to. Haven't played Krovnik farmland yet though.

Like the changes in the recent patch update. From what I've read most of the bug fixes have worked. Still have my mission deselecting but it doesn't bother me too much atm.

Adding shoot house was a good move. Small map that encourages movement. No matter the mode it is chaos.
Hardpoint has been a game changer IMO. It gives these flowless non 3 lane maps a purpose, so players actually move around, and unlike headquarters there is respawning. Love the tactical side of rotating early to get a jump on the next point. Can actually rack up 20+ kills on bloody Piccadilly in this mode.

Apart from The Gaming Revolution as a leaker it is worth following Joe Cecot on twitter. Just like Vonderhaar on Treyarch he seems to be Infinity Ward's vocal developer and he gives regular commentary on common player base questions.

Overnight has stated there's another tuning update for the 725 to remove the long shot one shots (unless player is low health), and has stated that tweaks to Piccadilly spawns are in testing and not yet live. So at least they are listening to us and trying to implement changes. Also suggested that there will be additional create a class slots soon. Good. Cos I'm running overkill to max out weapon usage so being able to spread them out, pick a pistol or launcher and use EOD or double time would be nice. Like that apart from Ghost in slot two there seems to be no clutch perks, and there's plenty that are viable.

But it's the daily challenges, officer rank challenges and the gun grind that is keeping me engaged. So much to work towards.
Loving the marksman rifle grind. All those kills so that they can be ranked up enough for sniper scopes.

My quickplay list consists of just Cyber Attack and Headquarters. The maps are more suited to these modes imo.

If I need the rush of running around like a headless chook I'll jump on ground war or shoot house 24/7 playlist.

Got my first nuke on ground war Saturday night. Wasn't really going for one, just being a pest running around sniping until I noticed I was on my 25th kill, then it was camp the enemies flag time. Felt just as good as the MOAB days of MW3.

I totally missed out on the original MW trilogy because I didn't even started playing COD until BLOPS3.

But how does this game compare to MW1 & 2? Does it stack up to those?

Nah it doesn't. It's the best COD since probably BOPS 3 though. MW2 and Bops 1 were my favourites. Chaos.

Strange. They just cant seem to recapture the magic.

Hmm yeah I guess but tbh for me and alot of other people it was just the peak of it all for whatever reason. Being an early high schooler hopping on with mates on the mic and partying up whilst someone gets a nuke was as good as it got. Some others might say this is the best cod for those reasons.

Yep downloaded the 2nd part (the smaller file) but the 1st part (the large one) will not download after multiple attempts.

Getting a bit worried as Spec Ops is kind of what I'm looking forward to the most.

I had the same issue. I had to go into the “my stuff” section and download it from there. Hover over the game in the PS4 menu until the drop down shows and go to the bottom option and it should be there to download.

This. For me MW2, BO1 was out during my high school days, and was just a blast partying up on the 360 after school for long sessions.

I'm not going to buy this game in its current state. Only the campaign appeals to me and I'm not paying $100+ for a 5 hour campaign.
Everyone playing this game says the same thing, maps are terrible, game is full of campers and the footsteps are so damn loud you can hear people coming from a mile away. A few COD youtube channels have put out some weird theories on why they won't just fix this game, like the devs made it crap on purpose to begin with so they can incrementally make changes to keep people hanging on and thinking "it will be fixed with the next update". Meanwhile with each update, they never fix all the problems completely but make a few small tweaks to make it slightly better.

Its just hard for noobs. All the bad youtubers are struggling to get gameplays against the easy lobbies now and have cracked the sads. If you're truly good you still dominate just not as much becauseits harder to do so

Skill-based matchmaking is another huge grip, at least in the COD youtube space.

You can definitely still dominate, I use to be a run and gun type player in the older COD games, but have changed that in this game, more tactical and tend to wait for enemy players to make a dumb move to get kills. 1.37 is my KDR, I'll have absolute stinkers though where I can't get a kill and just die constantly, those games are very easy to just rage quit lol.

Still loving it. When you spend 5 years in TDM wilderness you tend not to be too hard to please though.
TDM funnily enough turned off and am completely engaged with the objective modes.

Even like the SBMM.
Spawns are still meh though.

Yeah, i'm not a great player (in fact I haven't played CoD since Black Ops 2 and just got back into it for this game) but although I don't have a ridiculous K/D ratio (generally 1:1) I am managing to top my team on the leaderboard almost every game. I'm not dominating but it's rewarding to play the objective and come out on top. Currently level 100 and have no issues with the SBMM, although I would obviously prefer it wasn't there so that I could have more REALLY good games.

The only problem with the SBMM for me is that I have relatively poor internet, so you can get games where you're conneciton is just so bad that you end up getting dropped in all most every engagement. If my net is running okay though, no issues.

Haven't played multi player for years but have given this a whirl over the last few days.

Having fun. Love the quicker TTK, love the balance of guns and perks and streaks. They've got it about right. But what that creates is a bit of vanilla about it, there's certainly not that excitement from the good old days when you get stopping power for the AA12 or unlock the whatever for the whatever that turns you into a beast, so I can see that people grow tired of it.

Oh. And I suck so bad it's actually hilarious. I'm utterly awful.

SBMM has sucked any enjoyment I have for this game out. It is the biggest reason why people are camping with shotguns and/or M4's and why there are so many more claymores.

It is pointless caring about k/d as you get punished for playing well. Particularly as an Australian, if you have a couple of really good games get ready to be put in a match with a combination of Japanese, British and Canadian gamers which makes it impossible with our ping and our internet.

I'm just running around with an RPG and/or combat knife now. At one point my k/d was 1.6 and now its 1.3 and dropping. There is no incentive to play well as you know you will be punished for it.

I have literally nom inclination to play Ground War. Not about that life.

Give me good old fashion 6v6 please.

And i think that's one of the inherent flaws in the agme currently. Because they have 6v6 specific maps, 10v10 specific maps and 20v20/Ground War specific maps - although they do have like 15 maps in the game or whatever, it feels like there are only a handful.

Because I don't play the larger game modes. I only play on Razzmaz, Picadilly, Anirh Cave, Shoothouse, Hackney Yard and probably one other i'm forgetting.

I cannot wait for new maps to release to expand that out.
