Our first 2 rounders is more than fair. Our first next year could be as low as 10 if we drop like all the "experts" are tipping us to. You severly overrate McCarthy. He got dropped and couldn't get a look in at times in the second half of the year. He isn't Jesse Hogan.
Actually no.
Freo over rate him

Offering a large contract to an already contracted player
And
Freo fans going apeshit about getting him

You guys are the ones boosting his trade value.

We say thanks

What was wrong with our first which was 16 and next years first then? If Wellee is worth a top 15 selection then how is that a better deal then the one we offered before the Bennell trade?

Weller is worth closer top pick 10 in this year's draft, also is a more known commodity. At least he has shown he isn't out of his depth on debut. Weller is your Ace to get McCarthy, whether Freo do it is another thing though.

Your first if it was upgraded to pick 10 this year may have been fair.

2 low first round picks is not enough.

Will never be enough.

And will not get the deal done.

I'm not even talking a best 22 player.

I'm talking a top 5-10 player in the 23-26 year old age bracket AND then you're first two rounders.

Otherwise we just laugh at your inability to kick 100 points in a game for yet another year, whilst boring us to death with the most boring example of football ever played.
Since you're so specific, feel free to dig up non-tongue in cheek examples. Probably the most extravagant I recall would be Neale + a pick, which everyone immediately agreed was way overs.

Last thing GWS needs is more picks. They should be asking for proven players in the 23-27 age bracket and putting them on 4+ year contracts. They are already hemmoraging young talent from the 2s.

This is what we supporters have been saying all along, with Trelaor gone an established best 22 player is the starting point for negotiations.

How? 2 first rounders have a value of around pick 5. That is about his worth atm.

If the first rounder was pick 10 sure...but not pick 17 + pick 16 n 2016(*). Late first rounders are rubbish. You know you are getting a great CHF...late first rounders are lotteries, well more of a lottery than a higher one at least.

I don't see what is wrong with Weller + your 2016 1st round for McCarthy + GWS 2016 2nd round (or even the Adelaide one GWS just acquired through the Hampton trade)

I would do that deal as well, just mentioning that the deal you provided wasn't much different to the 2 late first rounders.

I have no idea what we are offering. I'm saying GWS have already said no to a fair deal. I don't believe it will happen this trade period.
It's not fair if the other party doesn't want what you're offering. As I've mentioned GWS don't want or need pick 16, so they are within their rights to reject the offer. Freo should come to the table with a bottom 6 player in the right age bracket if they're serious.

Unless GWS buckle as they dont want what could be a distraction on their list then Cam is staying.

I would be very surprised if Freo trade a player, especially of quality considering we can wait two years and pay a lot less for Cam or draft a quality young fwd.

Out of interest how many years ahead can you trade draft picks? Would 3 future first round picks get it done?

No he didn't. Player has not said a word so far, just a grubby manager pulling his usual stunt because he is irrelevant for 11 months of the year.

Come on. Players speak through their managers. They tell them what they want to do. I highly doubt he told his manager he's happy to stay at GWS and loves Syndey, and he's gone out and turned that into he's desperate to go back home.

So you dont know for sure

Well, now we know for sure. No surprises, you blokes were wrong, his player manager wasn't talking shit, your list manager was.

“I love all the boys at GWS and they’ve been great and stuff like that, but living in western Sydney I don’t think is for me.

“I don’t really get to come home much, all the Melbourne boys get to fly back every time there’s a weekend off, but I haven’t really had the opportunity because Perth is so far away.

“I’ve got two younger sisters and you don’t really see them grow up as much in a way.

“I don’t want to miss too much of that because they’re pretty important to me.”

So he does love the club but the chance to play at home for a large offer is to good.

Hmmm seems we were all wrong and also all right. Fancy that

You know that the league has bent over and given GWS too many picks when they consider a late first rounder a packet of chips. When you finally step up and play big boy footy and make finals, you'll realize late first rounders aren't a dime a dozen.
For a contracted kpf who is offered big money? Yep it unders.

Oh and as for big boy footy Maybe try and win that gf before potshots at other clubs
