A little harsh on Fritta there. Yes he gets easy out the back goals and doesn’t tackle or apply any pressure vs Cam Rayner but he does have a good footy brain.
what pressure does Rayner do? He's unfit and overweight. He's never been known for his defensive pressure. I would smash the guy in any distance over 1km. His endurance is cooked which is why he never cut it in the midfield which is what the lions would've wanted when drafting him.

LOL

He'd be Melbourne's fittest (and sober/clean) player.

So the unfit and overweight Rayner is able to lay 84 tackles in 2024 to Fritsch's 27 tackles?? Interesting.

Cam is a moments player. He's never someone who will dominate games, but he's someone who can change the direction of a game in any moment. He's the type of player you want if you're competing for flags, because they're few players out there who can wrestle back the momentum like Cam can.

I was a doubter of Rayner, but I think its game over.

#1 pick, crucial in a Premiership win - it overcomes years of mediocrity. Time for a new target Danster.
how was he crucial in a premiership win? he was useless in the granny. He also Single handedly lost them the final against GWS with one of the worst games of any player in afl history. Then played a very good game against Geelong.

You're right about 1 thing though, years of mediocrity.

He had am average season but it was improved, hence going up in the rankings. But he is still miles behind players on the 2017 draft that have had many years of afl calibre football.

Rayner gets midfield time so when fwd, his pressure acts would be well down.

Dees fwds pressure acts: Neal-Bullen, Pickett and Chandler all in the 20's.

Don't get me wrong Fritsch is bad, but 14.4 isn't good.

Neal bullen plays for Adelaide Danny

I must have missed where Jack and Buddy got 4 years for cocaine trafficking!
lol exactly. you don't have the ability to think outside the square. remember cocaine is considered a performance-enhancing drug according to these agencies. Only people like you think people use this drug for performance enhancing reasons. Also, trafficking? really? yeah no. Flicking a text message is not trafficking in the sense that we're commonly used to. if he was actually trafficking he'd be in jail like Sam Fisher. You're beneath my level, push on.

his pressure act numbers were at melbourne

Once a player leaves a club their numbers can’t be referenced anymore. It’s a shame, but it’s the rules.

I was responding to your claim that Fritsch and Rayner are “as bad as each other”.

This is objectively false.

he lost them a game that they won??

He dragged them over the line vs Geelong, it was elite. Big Prelim finals performances are what you have guys like him for.

He didn't need to do anything in the granny, it was like a bye. He drags them over the line in the close ones.

Fritta is immortal. After kicking 6 in a granny he ties the most goals kicked in a granny in 2 decades. The question is, when does Fritta get a statue?
Well there's statues to Jim Stynes (second fiddle to Steve ODwyer) and Norm Smith (miles behind McHale as a coach) so if the conditions are 1. Play for Melbourne and 2. Not be the best at what you do then there's every chance Fritsh gets one.

Yeah, the game against Geelong was good, but he owed them a 30 touch, 6 goal game such was his horrific game the week before. He literally was about a -40 point disadvantage against GWS, not only playing like trash, getting nowhere near the ball, but then giving dumb free kick after dumb free kick in clutch moments of the game. Had they lost (which was a 99% probability) it was almost a delisting level sort of performance. He probably is paying Daniher about 500k a year for saving his butt and kicking that goal.

if it's kicking goals in granny's, he is the best. p.s. its Fritsch, not Fritsh.
