We usually had Corey Enright to nullify Cyril.
But it's still Cyril, in that company.

They had some good battles.

Think Cyril dropped six on him one time.

Not to dispute most of your points because they’re all true but Betts himself is ranked #1 all time in AFL history since the stat was recorded for dishing goals off to his teammates. He was fractionally behind Rioli for average per game but it’s not a major point of difference between the two. And Rioli had some pretty decent forward mates to spot-up

There were alot of other things Rioli did not on the stat sheet. Smothers, inferred pressure, forcing a neutral ball from an unwinnable position in a contest, knock ons to advantage to teammates etc. This happened weekly. Was amazingly strong for his size. Some of these don't go down as goal assists because your not gaining possession but it certainly helped us to score. Enright had it right when he labelled Cyril the hardest opponent to play against because he could get you in many different ways. Shows the elite ability of Corey that he was able to nullify him so often.

Cyril and stats never worked.

But we all saw teams absolutely shit their dacks every time he was close to the pill. He caused panic and chaos that drove opportunity.

Rioli made the biggest opponent crap their dacks. Really was a player where stats didn't do him justice

Cameron is a live wire and a great player

Thought betts was extremely overrated. Would kick goals, but that's all he did. Wasn't capable of playing defensively, rarely locked it in, and didn't have the capacity to push up the ground

Feel like you're underselling Betts pretty heavily here. He got thrown on ball at Adelaide and was very effective and he was one of the best goal assist players in the comp.
