I'm not arguing whether or not there's angst, just whether that angst is justified. So far from the examples I've found it clearly isn't.

Of course you don't, then again you're in the same frame of mind all season, unjustifiably for the most part I might add.
The fact that a multitude of posters feel this way adds credence to the validity of our gripes with Ling.

Same frame of mind all season? What would that be? All I know is I've copped a tip truck full of crap on here for daring to question Scott's coaching but it seems I was making a mistake all along and I should've been bagging the shite out of ex Geelong triple premiership players who still work for the club instead. Next time I'll remember to aim my venom after Geelong's poor performances at the right people instead of our head coach. I'm going to add people bagging Ling's commentary as another thing I hated this season.
It was so obvious I don't get how people can question it. I suppose they wait until the countless examples throughout the season are starting to be forgotten and then go, hey where was the evidence.
I have no doubt that Ling took notice when Clarkson called Harley a biased Geelong nuffy the one time Harley said something negative about Hawthorn (even though Matthews agreed with him) and realised that no matter how impartial you can be, if there is one single example where you are seen as biased then it can all come undone. Funny how Harley was no longer at seven the year after that incident.
True it is subjective and many or us are biased particularly myself. However think you will find that its was the unbiased supporters who were ripping into Ling as much as anyone on those game day and review threads. Kind of gives you an answer. I remember being livid at Lings commentary in the Port and Hawks games in particular.

Ok, I'll have a look at them, second Hawks game or first? At least you've given me specific games to focus on if I am to find this mysterious phenomenon.

Go find evidence they say, like who the **** can remember what thread it has been said in, on all boards on this site I've probably posted in 100+ threads this year. **** trying to remember where something was said.
Pretty simple gripe too, he goes too far the other way to avoid being accused of cats bias, I think that's referred to as overcompensating, well Lingy has been doing that in spades at times in 2015.

I think Ling swings so far to please and back his media mates (BT and Darc) that he turns on the club in certain circumstances.
Especially with highly disputable infringements, the focus on Geelong players regarding the MRP and speculating on weeks to be served (to get along) is unforgiveable from one whose been treated like royalty by the club, fans and city of Geelong.
No doubt will always have a dollar in his pocket, but unfortunately not the best person to come out of Geelong. I'm pretty sure Cam Mooney (whom I respect much more) wouldn't join in with that shite.

There were also a couple of times when he declared a geelong player would Definately get weeks for incidents for it only to be thrown out by mrp without even a fine. Then he tried his best effort to get hodge off for ramming a players jaw into a post. No definite weeks their ah lingy. Didn't want to risk making Harley's mistake and face the wrath of Clarkson.

Selwood is an exceptional leader on-field. However, we aren't privy to what happens at training, off-field etc. Ling is far more qualified to comment on that.

Yep, but Ling hasn't played under Selwood, so can't see why he is privy to anything. One thing I noticed last night is we have lots of players giving 'advice' and telling people where to stand and such-and that strikes me as good leadership-that Selwood, and the club are cultivating a group where everyone is leading and taking responsibility. That is what we want.
Kinda like our supporters.
How the hell does this matter?
