Not so much as they may have different names they wear very similar designs.

Look up the NHL and their AHL affiliates, or MLB and their AAA Baseball affiliates.

Some affiliates in US sports borrow a lot if their branding from their parent club, some borrow absolutely nothing.

There is a long tradition of farm team affiliates in US sport, particularly in Baseball with A, AA and AAA levels, and more recently in the NBA and NHL.

This is a terrific idea, super on theme for a North American based comp.

Definitely agree. For what it's worth this is the NBA's development league, the G-League's teams on a map. Some affiliations are quite obvious, others not so much.

The San Francisco Football Club today are proud to announce their affiliation with new sister clubs the Adelaide Monarchs (NAFL) and Royal Rotterdam (FIRA). As such the Bloodhorns will be rebranding the club as the San Francisco Kings.

Yes it is as no 2 teams can have the same nickname. You will have to discuss the issue with San Francisco or take legal action.

Following on from my post in the RCT, Miami Vice not be an entry in this season's Can-Am competition.

I do hope I'm able to hold onto the Miami location in my absence for the following season, but obviously I can't stop someone from taking that spot if Miami's what they have in mind.

Following on from my post in the RCT, Miami Vice not be an entry in this season's Can-Am competition.

I do hope I'm able to hold onto the Miami location in my absence for the following season, but obviously I can't stop someone from taking that spot if Miami's what they have in mind.

The Can-Am Organizers wish to acknowledge the temporary suspension of the Miami Vice franchise.

As such Miami is a no go zone for the 2018 season.
