Here is what I think...

Jacobs - already gone
Moss - definately gone
Clarke - certainly gone
Dawson - almost certainly gone
McEntee - probably gone
Crawf - sadly may be gone
Taylor - angry and gone?

would we have any interest in Ryan O'Keefe, I rate him as a good player but maybe a bit too old but on the other hand maybe adding a little more experience to the list could be positive.

He has asked to be traded to Victoria and channel 10 mentioned the pies. blues and hawks would have interest in him.

They need a forward and a ruckmen, perhaps Taylor or Boyle could be on their way to the Swans

Trade:

Tim Boyle
Tim Clarke

Not bad players but not likely to get a regular game with us. Better off leaving to get their opportunity.

Beau Dowler

Only if we can get something pretty good in return. May also have trouble breaking into the team. Can he play chb? I hope he can because i would like to see him stay.

Delist :

Zac Dawson
Gary Moss
Luke McEntee

Can't see any of these 3 getting a game even if we get injuries. Doubt there would be much trade interest.

Retire :

Danny Jacobs
Shane Crawford? (Maybe he will but i hope not).

So if crawf and dowler stay which i hope they do that would be 6 players off the list.

I would definitely promote Cameron Stokes to the senior list and i have heard some good things about Tim Walsh but have not seen him play. What do people think about him???

Dawson, Moss and McEntee are in trouble.

I think Clarke will survive (was he still in the leadership group this year?). Clarkson rates him just cant find room for him at the moment.

The other young talls will stay - thorp, dowler.

Boyle should ge given one year to play as a tall defender.

Jacobs retired...maybe Crawf as well makes 5 spots on the list.

If we trade taylor what happens if either one of renouf or campbell get injuered? We will have to rely on Max Bailey who cant take a step with out breaking a knee.
We have Luke McEntee aswell and is very promising,Tim Walsh is not much chop in the ruck.

I would say Clarke,Dawson and Boyle(boyle traded for a draft pick) and that is it.I think they need to give McEntee and Moss another year to prove themselves as they both are very talented and without injuries could both have a real impact next year. The other one we may put up for trade is Simon Taylor for a draft pick.I cannot see Clarke surviving with Travis Tuck,Benny McGlynn,Jarrod Morton,Josh Kennedy,Gary Moss and Beau Muston in the wings.

elevate Stokes
draft 3-4 players
Jacobs retired

So we need to move another 3-4 players along.

1. Crawf retire (my prediction, although would be happy to see him go around again).
2. Boyle - trade
3. Moss - delist (sorry!).
4. Dawson - delist. Again apologies. I actually think Zac has had an unlucky career. Could possibly have made it as a forward, but wrong place, wrong time and wrong position with us I'm afraid. I think there will be much worse players on AFL lists next year, but unfortunately other AFL clubs are unlikely to pick up Zac due to the stigma of him getting trounced a couple of years ago before his body developed.

As for Muston and Bailey - both are contracted I think???

Clarke is an interesting one. I would love to see him made captain of Box Hill, but not sure he would be prepared to give up on AFL yet.

I think we need to keep Taylor in case of injury. However, I also think he would be worth a lot on the open market (like pick 20-25).

I think the most important thing is to maintain our club culture and loyalty. This means not trading away blokes who are valued by their team mates and want to be at the club. This year we won because we had the most heart, not because we had the best list.

i think Dawson is a certainty. does anyone think he will get any interest from any other clubs.. from this year, a majority of clubs could do alot worse. i do think he is stiff, but 2 years in the outer kinda speaks for itself.

Moss will be stiff, like to see him get a shot, would rather push for a trade than delist.

Clarke should get another go, was good at the start of last season before injury and has a massive tank.

When you have to rotate 3-4 in and out each season, it is difficult.

Thorp signed a 2 yr contract a couple of weeks ago, gun player and will stay. just needs a chance and im sure he will get it next season
