Gee I though Carey discovered his indigenous heritage after his career ended.
That depends.

He reckons he played in indigenous teams throughout school, and that his family got welfare based on him being indigenous.

How do yah think we will fair in 2025 chubbs because apparently we have been flying over the last few years and criticism is not warranted? :stern look
And so you think it's all Jy's fault and he shouldn't be captain? Seems like you've isolated all of the reasons for our performance woes yet you have none of the solutions.

A little disappointed, I was thinking that Simpkins days in the team may be numbered with some of the youngsters coming through, but happy to see McDonald has stood down.

I was hoping Larkey would be given the opportunity to Captain the club for a season or two before handing over to Sheezel, but that doesn't look like it will happen now.
Whats worse is that Jy now thinks he has a license to control the midfield and place himself in there when he likes.. settle down Jyza.

I continue to laugh at your presumptuous nature Snrubs. When have I posted that I “think it’s all Jy’s fault”? I suppose you have failed to read any of my criticisms levelled at Rawling. :stern look

As for solutions well you’d very well know for starters I would’ve not cut the list so deep back in 2020. I would’ve Arseholed Rawling years ago. Had an actual process to select a coach after Scotts got the flick. Never coughed up a future 2nd for CCJ. Not traded our future first in the last draft. Not signed Simpkin to 2029. Not used a 2nd round pick on Daniel. Not signed up Fisher or Stephens on 4 year deals. Never have drafted Crafty. So on and on. We have done plenty wrong and you know I called out those mistakes at the time. Continue to deflect. Continue to defend. You look the Goose. Bottom 2 for the last 5 years is there for all to see. :stern look

We’ve done nothing wrong.

Especially when you ignore all we’ve done wrong.

Then why are you in a discussion about captaincy just to argue about the failings of the past 5 years if you aren't dumping on Jy? Take it to your weekly "I hate Brady" support meeting and get the help you need.

As a side note, the problem with thinking that you're the smartest person in the room is that inevitably you aren't.

I don't disagree with most of that. Your drafting would have to be absolutely on point though.

Would you have signed Stephens/Fisher for less years? Darling? Parker?

Likely Simpkin leaves to get that contract elsewhere, so likely a trade/FA situation in that alternative.
What domino effect does that have on Larkey and others signing on? Who knows.

Not trading the R2 for Daniel is fair. Price was a bit high given we could've just taken Mattlock with it.
It might be a masterstroke if Daniel plays well for us. We may have then traded our F1 to get his brother Jack Whitlock, given we nearly traded our F1 (pick 2 on FOS) the year before for Curtin (pick 9/10) and extra.
Good decision? The reality is only time will tell on that.

LOL. Clearly the side note is a reflection of your good self. Kudos on the self awareness. :stern look

As for the rest of your rambling post it is all over the shop largely influenced by your presumptuous nature. Time for a new username brother. Gots to hide from that truth. :stern look

Fisher I would’ve taken a punt on but not on the length of contract he was offered. Stephen I wouldn’t have offered him a contract. Likewise Darling. Parker is the exception. I rate Parker even at this late stage in his career. I feel we need an experienced midfielder of his quality. :stern look
