Gawn’s last few scores haven’t been captain worthy. So a gutsy move I reckon!

Spoiled for choice but will probably go Titch over Macrae. McLean might even be worth a look!

Rolling with Titch this week.

Calvin’s Captains

1. Brodie Grundy - With Sandilands NOT playing, this one is a no brainer. Grundy is in awesome form scoring 110+ in his last nine games and if you are in the 23 per cent of coaches who own him, brace yourself for an easy 140+ score this week.

2. Tom Mitchell - Mitchell scored 118 against Port last year and averages 133 at Aurora Stadium with a huge 147 coming from there earlier this year. A tag from Ebert might slow him down though but with 135 and 149 in the last two weeks, he’ll be fine.

3. Jack Macrae - Remember when Nathan Jones shut down Tom Mitchell? Will he do that to Macrae this week? Melbourne is the second hardest team to score against, and Macrae's second worst team over his career. He is back at Etihad though where he averages 132 this year, and let’s not forget his form that sees him averaging 142 in the last five weeks.

4. Max Gawn - Managed only 74 last week but takes on the Boyd/Roughead combination, a duo that have given up scores of 124, 78, 114 and 131 to ruckman in the last four weeks.

5. Patrick Dangerfield - Scored 119, 129 and 138 in his last three games against the Suns and posted 117 last week, his second highest score for the year. Dangerfield will explode with a huge score soon and it might just be this week.

With big Scott Jones playing against Grundy is likely to get only 40 points! Thats 40 points more than his average

He could smash the HO, but WB could negate his ground work. He hasn't been in much captain form lately.

Have Macrae and Mitchell as other options.

Macrae was off last week, Mitchell for a few weeks prior. Hmm

Who'd you hit?

I've gone Mitchell over Macrae - more due to the Mitchell upside than the Macrae downside. If I had Grundy I would captain him though.

Mitchell is the man this week.

Gawn this week perhaps? Or does Grundy have a habit of impacting scores?
Don't think I would chance it, i think their history is ok but could easily be a martin/gawn thing where they stop each other.

I am tossing up zorko against the bombers at the gabba....

Is there any chance Brayshaw moves back with Lever out?

If Cogs gets up I'm thinking of throwing it on him. If not, who knows?

We let Jake Lloyd get 160 a few weeks ago. I reckon Laird could go massive this week.

No chance I'd put it on Gawn or Grundy this week.

Trying to talk myself out of putting on Brayshaw but he is racking it up and pies give it up. Just feels too risky.
Laird is in doubt for the game
