Please what? Sydney aren't exactly doing themselves with woeful kicking on goal but quite a few things the Swans have been pinged for, the Blues haven't. How about the mark to ROK just then?

Agreed. There's some terrible kicking for goal going on, but if Murphy wasn't getting a free at every stoppage it'd be a lot closer (and better to watch).

And i think Ellard goal in 1st, you see O'Keefe being tackled without the footy.

Yeah that looked suss, the only thing I can think of to cause play on was that he may have had his hands on the ball and when he got tackled, released the ball and played for the free. Would like to look at that one again, first thought was it should've been a free though.

Blaming the umpires is weak.

the murph, mcveigh one - mcveigh had his back to the ball with no interest in anything but stopping murphy - correct free

the mark should have been paid to okeefe

Don't bother with explaining the reality of the situation, Murphy is a stager around here:rolleyes:

Happens every week.

MRP is even worse, has Waite kicked anyone in the nuts today?

Waite isn't playing, genius. Still upset?

McVeigh just stood still while Murphy hugged him, should have just been play on.

You can't turn your back on the play and make your sole focus blocking your opponent's run. When is that not a free kick?

Well he just stood there not moving, Murphy ran directly into him and wrapped his arms around him while McVeigh just stood there, could've easily avoided contact with him.

Gotta love the group think that suggests teams should get equal amounts of frees.

The fact that they so often do is the biggest indication of bias umpiring decisions, not the other way around.

Can't watched the game as it isn't on in Perth but in all honesty, would Sydney be winning if they didn't have these so called shocking umpires and if Sydney got a bit more accurate ?

I personally don't think free kick counts need to be equal, just that the decisions should be consistent and fair, a few dodgy decisions seem to be going the way of the Blues. If they were going the way of the Swans my opinion wouldn't change at all.

Probably not, Carlton definitely deserve to be winning, playing much better football.

Murphy just got another kick for running into 3 players standing still with his head down.

And then three Swans get arms around the side of their heads and it's play on. The inconsistency of the high tackling is getting ridiculous.

I think the problem is that everyone's comparing the wrong numbers. Yes, Carlton is 21 - 8 ahead in free kicks. But Sydney is 8 - 5 ahead of Marc Murphy, and obviously that needs to be squared up.

Edit: Six.

Murphy yanked from the ball without it, 30 out directly in front, no free. Yarran puts his hand on Jetta's shoulder - free kick and goal.

There's two for you Swans...
