Carlton getting the rub of the green with the umps...

OP should read 'Carlton getting rub of the green from Sydney players'

I mean today we could not kick, grab it cleanly, get to it first, tackle (I reckon at least 30 missed tackles), make a decision or take a set shot.

P.S. Carlton's pressure does have a lot to do with this. Umpiring is fine. You make your own luck. Carlton did so.

Obviously Carlton were a class above Sydney today, merely highlighting some rubbish umpiring early on.

Umpiring was terrible, Swans got the rough end, and Murphy and Judd were the main beneficiaries.

Not blaming the umps at all for the result, but hopefully the poor showing goes some way to disproving the myth that the Swans are systematically favoured.

Funny how it always seems to be the better team that's getting the rub of the green when it comes to free kicks... Maybe that has something to do with getting hands on the ball first and sticking tackles? It's a lot easier to give a free kick away when the ball isn't in your hands or you're trying to defend in a contest.

Pack of absolute whingers!

Carlton were 10 times harder at the ball and the man today and made their own luck, Swans weren't even in the same ball park.

Thanks echo

BTW, can't seem to find anyone giving examples. Just the usual "I'll quote the free kick count" shit that goes on when people have NFI.

Can't have looked too hard, given your post was only on the third page.

Last 5 minutes Carlton player (Tuohy?) takes on the tackler, gets tackled 360 deg. and play on, even though it was a clear holding the ball, then Marc Murphy holds McVeigh at a stoppage and gets the free..

Murphy just got another kick for running into 3 players standing still with his head down.

And then three Swans get arms around the side of their heads and it's play on. The inconsistency of the high tackling is getting ridiculous.

That's a handful there. Apologies for not providing full documentary evidence, I wasn't expecting a quiz on it after the date.

Yeah that evil Judd benefitting from a whole 1 free kick, you muppet

Some average umpiring benefiting both teams at stages, but seriously sooking about umpiring after being completely outplayed when it mattered just reeks of the sourest grapes.

And anyone who thinks McVeigh's deliberate block on Murph with his back to the play wasn't a free (after being warned by the ump no less) has NFI. What do you think he was doing, looking for a buddy in the crowd?

umpiring was disgraceful typical Vic bias, but so obvious I hope a formal complaint is made, frees for and against isnt even enough, frees that werent should be added to the stats. ****ing pathetic

jee whiz the blues had the swans earlier this year in sydney, then today held the swans two 4 . 4 . 28, I mean to hold the swans who are the benchmark for scoring efficiency lmao to such a low score was aided by the umpires for sure.
Blues only 64 points up early final term, but yeah swans had their momentum killed as great sides dont come back from bad decisions, they just die in the arse.
Gotta love rival fans having digs at the blues, you know carlton have turned the corner when these jealous and bitter opposition supporters start suggesting the umpires are favouring the blues.
Please save this crap for when it really matters.
Blues owned the swans and the wheels have turned.

Free Kick count says itself. Carlton 14, Swans 6. That and poor kicking are costing us the game.

The fact the swans were playing a much superior team didn't help the result either ;) Only an idiot would ever think the Umpires helped Carlton win that game ..oh and we won't mention the charity goal to jetta in the goal square from a ridiculous decision .
