Still comes back to the fact that IF they had 'self suspended' for two years back in Feb last year.. they would be coming back for next season... instead we will have this hanging over our heads for another two years at least.

Oh, and the fact they have sent show cause notices to every player shows have useless their case is.. as NOT every player was given the Thymosin irrespective of what variant they are talking about.

Thats a good point, pretty hard to confess to cheating you were unaware of.

McDevitt sure is selling "a deal" pretty hard in then media. Suggests to me they know they don't have much of a case and the only way they'll get an positive result is to scare someone into confessing to protect themselves individually

As Le Grand pointed out ASADA ultimately have to prove their case. With no positive tests they would need some solid evidence, certainly a lot more than the evidence of a recently arrested former convicted drug felon.

Yes.. no doubt that would be his excuse..

I still think that it is wrong. To have a national sporting body posturing that it has a 'good case' is damaging the reputations of athletes who have no yet even been put into the register.. let alone found guilty of doping. Cart.-->Horse.

As long as the players stay calm, united and let the lawyers work through the issues.. it will go no further.

I think court action to quash the whole 'quasi-legal' process would be best. Essentially erase the biggest mistake in global history of 'self reporting'... fruits of a poison tree.

IF the media leaks are correct and that is their circumstantial case.. they are going to have big big issues.

We'd probably have to draft a bunch of VFL players for a couple of years, the AFL can't allow a team to just drop out because they are contractually obliged to have a certain number of games each year for the broadcasters.
