i would love to get Sibasido at number 2 in the rookie draft, would rather him then De Boer. also wouldnt mind Peice to much either.

I can't see him getting to the rookie draft.
He is such a super key forward pick, I would be surprised if Melbourne, Richmond or Essendon didn't take him with their pre-season draft selection.

Tell me if this kid is so good (he is portrayed on here as almost superman) why the hell wasn't he drafted last Saturday. Why wouldn't a club invest a pick 70 odd on him and sure him up if they would be so desperate to grad him in the PSD?

Sounds more like a rookie type prospect to me. Happy to be proven wrong but I wouldn't mind betting he slides even in that draft.

Really, we're splitting hairs by speculating whether he'll go in the PSD or Rookie Draft. We're talking about whether he is the 80th to 85th player selected this year (PSD) or 86 onwards (Rookie Draft).

i think adelaide was going to use pick 72 on him but they did not think lee would drop that far so they picked him up. i read that adelaide had interest in him before the draft and also called him up after the draft to say sorry about not picking him up in it

Two reasons Mr 'I'll opt for the easy way out and be a Sceptic'

1. He actually hasn't played much top level junior football at all : 8 TAC, 4 N.T, 20 school 1st XVIII games. Add that up and you have an inexperienced, yet phenomenally talented prospect. He is probably a year behind many of the players picked up in terms of football experience & match fitness.

2. He is a key forward who still needs to put on weight. He will take some development, but then isn't that the point of picking up a kid like this. He has superb skills, great personality and motivation and an x-factor rarely seen. Hardly a punt taking him with a pre-season pick or rookie draft.

dont know if these reasons are enough... geelong happily took mitch brown with our first round pick, didnt play any state games, not a regular member of his tac cup team until halfway through this year and the rest of the time was school footy. Also sibsado looks to have a much more solid frame on him than brown. why would we be willing to use a first round pick on someone with these queries yet every other club isnt willing to do so in the 5th and 6th rounds???

also agree that he must have been massively overated on bf. not saying he doesnt have any talent, but there where a lot more project players taken in this draft imo, so these things might even help someone like sibsado get taken.

I think clubs believe that he probably isnt good enough and hasnt proved enough this year to warrant a pick and because of that he will be rookied. Having said that i would prefer melbourne to take him in the PSD and instead of risking losing him so that they can only rookie him.

Didnt stop Adelaide from taking Tippett with a 2nd round pick after he'd played 20 games of footy in his life.

Thats the gist of it really. All it takes is 2-3 people to rate someone highly and the rest will follow suit and it skews reality.

Not taking the easy way out at all. Just perhaps bringing a touch of balance to the discussion. You still haven't convinced me. If he was as "phenomenally talented" as you claim he would have been taken in the ND, particularly being a possible key position prospect.
