I see big Owen Lewis in paper yesterday, will he be any good in Central Highlands? Also i have heard Dunnstown picked up a few, will they be any good without the Cahir boys?

The one good thing he will do for the Central highlands is drive up the Pie sales... the CHFL should market him to Stewarts Bakery to try and drive up their sponsorship deal.

Should fit into Reece's old jumper pretty easily lol

Towners are always in the top third of the comp, should be there abouts again.

Haven't Dunnstown been written off at the beginning of every year for the past 4-5? Only to end up being more than competitive and make the finals.

I am sure Norm Lewis will benefit too. He is fit and if he can get to the feet of Owen, should snag 25 for the year. Unless he plays up the ground and feeds them to his brother. Win, win situation.

bit of a concern that the 4 old LPFL teams coming in look to have dropped off from last season & considering they're coming from a much lower standard than the existing CHFL teams would point to a few good hidings for us new fish. The LPFL was in a much stronger position 4-5 yrs ago & the 4 teams would've been fairly competitive but im really not sure now! Illabrook.....rubbish, absolute rubbish, Rokewood, been competitive for a decade but the wheels are shakier than the coach's knees at senior level now, Skipton will provide genuine competition every week and Carngham seem to have recruited a heap of 2's players :(

A bit of a concern hey yokel. Everyone in the CHFL has been hearing for the past decade how skipton, carnham etc would be very competitive in the chfl. Finally, you have a chance to prove it and all I hear is excuses and not from just you. A bit of a cop out don't you think?

Ballan beaten by 23 goals by gdfl flag contenders east Geelong. But in saying that, east would probably beat Hepburn pretty easily but ballan struggling none-the-less

Wella22 are we talking about the same norm lewis here?? "he is fit and if he can get to the feet of owen should snag 25 for the year. Unless he plays up the ground and feeds his brother." obviousley you have never seen the great man play because if u have u would no why this comment is a crackup!!:D or were u being sarcastic?? hope u were!!

No excuses Ace, I just hear & see the new teams being a bit weaker than the existing teams, but you're right we do finally have the chance to prove it so we better man up!

Ballan will Be fighting Illabrook for the spoon. I have also been told Rod Watts will be playing at East Geelong this year.

Ballan are going to struggle for sure but they have a good man in the top job Matt Green. They are going to have to build from scratch and I hope they target good people, there have been to many average citizens recruited there for years. Good players who are shit blokes are no good for the long term of any club.

Great to see someone putting in an effort. Im not really one for stats, but i think the wind farmers have picked up two guns in gregg (lakers) a former leading goal kicker with the roosters and gleeson (grovedale) a former captain of grovedale. what do you think about them vintage

What is the point of this??

Its a forum to talk about footy in your league and the happenings in and around it.

As for Dr Evil, the wind farmers Gregg would have to be one of the best gets so far, not sure how his fitness levels would be though. I don't know about Gleeson but being captain of Grovedale suggests he can play a bit.

What is the point of this??

Is this a cry for help bombersth?
Are you feeling disenchanted by life in general?
Should we be worried??

Or are you referring to the post by Vin?
Assume the latter, hope you're ok all the same, and I digress.

Great post by Vin, well done. Allows those not familiar with recruits to analyse each clubs pick ups by providing the number of games played along with the % of times in the best. Presumabley the greater the players %, the better the recruit.

Keep up the good work Mr Tage

No life is fine. I thought it was a waste of time but know that you put it like that i feel much better about reading it.

There you go Bombers1983, there's the solution to your life problems.

My big question though Coolblue, is there a netball club assosciated? Not sure how many blokes you know that chase money and premierships but I don't know of many in this league that go for that sort of thing. All about the chics!
