Bungaree lost to diggers rest.. Just had more legs than us. I hear Springbank lost to Carnham Linton! not a good start to the year considering C-L had lost most of their better players too.

How'd the other praccy matches go?

Springbank v C-Linton was a 6 quarter game, Springbank had both Senior & Reserves sides and CL had a squad of 30 or so. First 3 quarters were Springbank’s Seniors, which Springbank won easy enough, CL would of only kicked 3 goals to Springbank’s 10+, last 3 quarters were Springbank’s reserves, but I don’t know the final outcome.

did D.Mcgill play?? heard beaufort offered him big coin to boost their midfield which is already one of the strongest in the league.. be a shame for springbank to lose their only decent player

Only decent player? Terrible comment...

Seniors won easily enough and twos struggled on Saturday by all reports - 2nd hand info however.

Dusnstown?.........
Got absolutly belted by skipton on the weekend.
understand that both teams have seniour players out due to cricket....

wouldnt look into the skipton d town game to much.... spoke to a few boys last night and from all reports d town had atleast 8 out who are all walk up ones players....also had about 6 blokes backing up from the reserves playing ones....also heard bunga give waubra a touch up!!! any news on that? any other news around the league?

Have heard that Springbank have picked up some handy recruits from university. Patrick Noonan was signed on to coach and help recruit young blokes to the club but has not been spotted around the club yet this year.. Springers are pretty upset with him and could be possibly looking for a new reserves coach if anyone is interested

Skipton also had probably 5-6 play both games and had at least 8 who are walk up starters/premiership players who were missing also. Dunnstown were beaten in just about every position except maybe for Joe McKay who worked hard all day but had little support. Very physical and a few spot fires arose which resulted in 2 reports.

Did the beachems play?

Any teams dumb enough to play a practice match this week? Or are we all happy to have a rest before Round 1?

Will Tye Murphy get a kick at Lakers and will anyone at Gordon get a touch now they have lost their best player who is also their captain?

Tye Murphy will most likely be their best recruit. He's a hard at type who will work hard all day. Lets hope he's played in his right spot.

I remember it wasn't that long ago that the Lakers weren't winning many games either. The wheel turns!

well who's every1s tips 4 this weekend ???
i reckon ..
hepburn v daylesford
learmonth v dunnstown
newlyn v ballan
beaufort v bungaree
springbank v creswick
clunes v gordon
buninyoung v waubra

Murphy will do well at Lakers, hard and tough, kicking lets him down at times. See a big in at Newlyn Tristan May very good get. Also watch clearances for a couple of handy recruits at Gordon.

I was told that Tristan May is going overseas for most of the year. Not sure haw many games he will play

T.May is only playing first two rounds for Newlyn, leaves for overseas weekend of round 3...

Ive heard Gordon have picked up Raworth and Turley from North Ballarat, both handy, will be Gordons best. Especially with Murphy gone.
