Springbank had a good win over one of the flag favourites, Ballan, by a couple of goals. The Bankers seem to be having a inconsistent year so far.

What happened to Ballan? Just out played, or are Springbank the real deal?
Didn't see Dan Nielsen up in the bests like he usually is and goal kicking leader Baden McKinnon didn't kick any...

i dont think it would be fair to him if we told everyone on here who he is and why he has an exemption because he would probably cop a bit of un-necessary stick that he doesn't deserve

Well don't name him but why does he have an exemption? If he has some sort of disabilty fair enough but it doesnt look good for the flag favourite to have over age kids playing

As for saturday bankers were just too good. Daniel and baden both had poor games and masters and matty patterson were both out but no excuses just outplayed us. They beat us at home last year too.

the bankers must have a pretty handy side i reckon.

if you wanna speak about the overaged player speak to one of the waubra boys in person, we're lucky to have him round does his part on the team, is holding his spot when there is about 4 players out of the side, and is just a genuine good bloke and everyone loves him

I don't think Hepburn will be up there they are sitting second last at the moment with only one win to their name.
I reckon Creswick will slot into the 6th spot. They have only lost one game this year.
I also reckon Bunninyong are a much better side than Hepburn

I thing hepburn can be a better side then what they are. espcially at hepburn

Saw that matt patterson didnt play aswell
just a hiccup or are ballan showig signs they might not be the best??

newlyn are finding it hard to string a few good games in a row but when they have played well they look very good but they will need to string them together to be a chance for finals

ive heard that waubra beat daylesford. was waubra just the better more skillful team? or did daylesford just have a bad day? also who were the better player for both teams?

Waubra full back Blair Keys was best on, had a very good day, other good players were Pat doyle and Brad Brennan.

Daylesford winger, i think, Spencer Alexander was good for most of the day, Clough and Boyd I thought

I cant see how ballan will be serious threats. They dont have enough stand out players.

does a team seriously need stand out players to be a threat? Although stand out players and very handy and boost teams they do not win games. Teams who gel together and play for one another do. Whats the old saying? A champion team will always beat a team of champions. Saying that i don't think ballan are a champion team, and although will definatily be up there can't see them being a serious threat to teams like d'ford and waubra. Could be a top 3 team though.

Ballan are still one of the best teams in the league, everyone gets the hicups at least one time through the year, Ballan's just might have come early.

Dowler played very well aswell, just these other played a bit better.
Not sure who Seb Walsh was so i'm guessing he just had a bad one, and Cowan copped a knock to the head early on in the first quarter and wasn't aloud back on the ground i think.

Seb walsh, swapped ruck to CHF. Played well, but had no support and found it hard to find ways through with little options presenting.

i thought walsh was one of dfords best players and that dowler was best on.. yeah hayden couldnt even see out of his left eye....copped a stray elbow i think.

big game comin up this week with to in form sides in bunga and waubra, this will determine if our boys are any chance towards the end of the yr against a talked up top 3 side in waubra, good win over dunstown by us to missing our skipper courtney trigg and probably our best player sheldon morton

Top 5 players? and will trigg and sheldon be back for the big one?

McKinnon was tagged by Taylor Raine.....Raine named best for Springbank keeping Mckinnon scoreless.....I won't say I said so but I did say.....Waubra were a very good side and have showed that they are the team to beat. WOuld have been a good game to watch.

sheldon
trigg
jack dalgleish
matt conder
steve ryan

they are both unknown yet, hopefully they will, we will struggle in a big game without them
