What a joke that the players don't play and give some respect back to the guys that run the league! I went and watched the Bendigo football league play ballarat on the weekend and I can tell you more than 3/4s of the players that played in the central Murray side wouldn't get a game in the Bendigo/ballarat side! Central murray is the only league that i no doesnt suspend players for not playing! Listening to the coach on local radio ex swann hill coach jeff Brennen said that his players were that excited to take on ballarat (huge rivarly) and that he had to leave high quality players out cause of the side he had was that good of a side! Think of the Central murray side that was put on the park compared to Bendigo? Players like Simon rosa,mark Lloyd,ollie mesoudi, Wayne Shultz, kaine Robbins, Brodie Filo and not to mention hawthorn premiership superstar rick ladson! A person like ladson you'd think "what else does he have to prove"! His response to that was, I want the Bendigo league to be better and stronger! That's a guy with so much passion! CMFL need to get there act together and start making players play for the league!

Good to see the Mallee Eagles put in a tip top showing on saturday. Putting together a few good games now and will only get stronger. Got the Kangas after the bye which will be a good litmus test for them.

Been injured, hasn't played much but will fire up soon enough.
Big Ricky Thompson stiff armed a few blokes and bagged a few nice goals. Hopefully will get him for one of either Cohuna or Swan Hill.
I hear that big Angus Grigg is playing for Cohuna this weekend, is it a permanent thing, or just a one off while Birchip have the bye

Wow two big ins I see for Cohuna with the return of Vandogen and great get this time of the yr in grigg, would almost be flag favourites one would think. Only losing by a goal to kerang first time round can see big improvements.

Only time will tell!! Kerang Won't have a full team till finals so cohuna's side who will have played together all yr bar 2 players would be far more ahead I'd think. Champion team will beat a team of champions!!

WE will see a lot of the team have played together the last few years as most of them are home grown and have come up through the under 17's together thats what makes them a great side.

Surely u r taking the piss?? Big call to say that u r a champion team. What have u achieved? Kerang have a group of players that have been together over a long time that have achieved success.
Admit its a great team on paper that the kangas have, they have done extremely well to recruit such a good team, but i Wouldn't like being treasurer of it

Well said Im not involved with Kerang but as far as i can see Kerang are still favorite and rightly so and knowing the players there i dont think the issue of players coming in to take their spots will be an issue.Surely u r taking the piss?? Should be a good test for the Mallee Eagles this weekend against the Kanga's. after a terrific win against Tooleybuc, boys will be riding high. More and more game time together and really jelling well. Will definitely give it a shake this weekend.

I agree the team wouldnt be cheap, but not to mention the young talent that cohuna are producing, I counted 8 kids under 19 years of age playing up in the ones. Players like Holmes, Toma and Coates being the better players this year? The club is in a good position, Eagles will test Cohuna this weekend out at Lalbert, should be a good one to watch!

Just looking at the selected sides on CMFL website and looks like the Tigers have a massive inclusion into there side this week with Victor Siciliano being named on the Half Forward Flank.

Yeah we panicked after cohuna and Tyntynder added some extra players so we flew him home from the states to save the day!!! Has to pass a skin fold test before being passed as match fit though.!
To above about cohuna young talent- it has always been there, some of the absolute best juniors to play in the league have been from cohuna, Coates dominated us in rd 2. As I said good luck to you, your club is sitting pretty in both grades. Should be interesting to see how mallee go against them, they have also turned their club around, went the slow rebuild and now should have both teams in finals.

Haha well said, Im sure he will have no problem in passing skin folds, he might be a bit jet lagged though. Good in for you blokes but, Great player to have come in at this time of the year.
Watched Cohuna and Lalbert today. The Eagles had the game under full control until late in the last quarter. Grigg for Cohuna the difference in the end. If it wasn't for him today Lalbert work have won by ten goals. Fantastic pick up for the Kangas.

agreed they had control, but only until mid way thru the 3rd 1/4. thats the worst performance from Cohuna this year and still got the win.
Worst, best it does not matter. Either Lalbert are better than what I thought or Cohuna are not as good. I've seen a few Cohuna games and I think the jury is out.
