hey rosco you sound like you know a bit about kerang mate, was wondering how the big fella p.grayling was travelling up there for the blues. saw him play in a past life and for an unassuming sort of character the boy could play. just interested on what your or anyone elses thoughts are on the big rig.
cheers.

Grayling would have to be close to the best chf in the comp according to last weeks paper virtually won a game off his own boot. pretty hard at it and loves to mouth off but normally backs it up. good player to watch, not so good to play against.

Very good player. He and Hugh Foot would be the best CHF's in the comp over the past couple of years from what I have seen

is it just me or does this thread seem to be dead?

Dead and buried,I thought this would a good way for me to keep up to date with whats going on in the CMFL as I no longer live in the area, but it's barely worth a look. Seems alot of people just get on here to hang it on other clubs and players with rumour and wrong imformation. Great for those less courageous people who can hide their identities to unfairly critisize others.

Great come from behind win by the raiders on the weekend , looks like a few people may have jumped the gun on here by writing them off early and bagging their recruiting! May not quite win the comp but side to be reckoned with and surprised by people reactions to their spending this yr when you consider how much other clubs spend year after year and surprised tooleybuc escape criticism considering what they spend yr in and yr out , beat up on the battlers but go missing in the crunch against the big teams every season , looks like the best the comp has ever been this yr good to see most clubs are a lot closer together in ability.

By the beard of Zeus, the comp is definately a lot stronger this year. Good to see bottom teams knocking off the better teams and making things interesting. More often than not, you could have picked a winner by 10 goals in every game over the past 5 years. Exciting stuff for the league!

P.s This thread needs a bit of scotchy, scotch scotch. Just to get things happening. You stay classy.

KB Raiders v Kerang....
Game of the week?
Sure to be a massive crowd with a finals atmosphere at Barham.
The game itself should be better than the yawnfest that was the Kerang v Nyah game. Is Darryl White injured? Or does he not really give 2 farts?

reading the previous post one would would probably think that whitey isn't really setting the world on fire. he would have to be feeling every one of his nearly forty years of age but that being said he is still got it just doesn't show it as much.

whats everyone's thought on kerangs win over the raiders? who looms as flag favourites at the minute? most of the top teams seem genuine contenders. tooleybuc for mine just!

Any word on a half time dust up at Nyah in the KB changerooms at half time? Can anyone confrim this?

just wondering keith when did this so called dust up take place?

maybe last weeks clash took more out of the blues and the raiders than was expected both sides lost by a fair margin and both were games most of thought they would win or at least be tight.

still no one game to call this years flag favourite?

how's about a prediction for this years league medal? i'll go with bardon from kerang or wilson from nyah.

In the rooms at half time was the word that came across my desk.. Can't say it was an eye witness report but this is far from hard hitting journolism is it..

I'm with you on the Bardon league medal call.. Xav Malonely has to poll strongly I would imagine. My tip for a smokey is Simon Bunion from the Bulldogs.

I also reckon that serious flag contenders to be Kerrang, TM, Tyntynder and Swan Hill with KB able to beat any of those 'on their day' Good signs for the league having such a tussle at the top of the table.

Are Nyah any hope to snare a finals birth?

Son of a bee sting how about them Eagles? Taking down one of the flag favourites.
Any info on who wasn't playing for the Swans, heard one of their twin towers in Hugh Foott was out.

Have the eagles lifted or did the swans take them too lightly?

You stay classy.

It was a good effort from the Eagles mate, pitty our consistency has been terrible this year. Our best is very good but our worst is terrible!!

I think Swan Hill had a few out but not overly sure. Foot definitley did not play. Having said that it was a huge effort by our boys as we were down to just 19 men by quarter time. Texas, Wardy and myself all on ice early (not that I make much difference).

Another thing I want to mention is the form of our little snowy haired bloke in Beau Bennett. The kid is an out and out gun and must be one of the best youngsters the comp has seen for some time. He is a contested ball machine and matches up on the best from the oppostion each week and is not out of his depth at all:thumbsu:

Gee roota 2 wins in a row, what chance of holding this years side together next season,if rumours are correct of certain gun CHF joining eagles next year look out.

Have watched the Oswalds play at other comps, believe they are playing in this comp if correct are they making an impact?

Oswalds definitely making an impact on the league. Nyah seem to be hot and cold from week to week and when those 2 blokes get a bit of the leather they seem to be hot. Lance is having a stronger impact on the league with his elite fitness through the midfield. Apparently out for over a month with an injury of some description.

You stay classy.

Thanks Ron
Both quality blokes as well

News team assemble!

What are the tips this round lads? Will be a few close games by the looks of things with a lot to play for some teams. Rons tips are as follows:

Cohuna V Boga
Balranald V Koondrook
Mallee Eagles V Nyah
Tooleybuc V Kerang
Woorinen V Tyntynder

You stay classy bigfooty.
