Because I’m pretty sure prime train basically advertises that he will just go to the highest bidder. He also lives in the state, and wasn’t on an afl list 2 months ago.
None of which apply to Jermaine jones 😂
Jermaine Jones grew up on the Murray River, he's from Victoria, I'm sure there was a chance of relocating back to

Prime train would cost them 2k a game and pettifer 1k I'd think. For 3k they should be looking for a gun in he's prime. Even ask Billy driscoll how he's mate Nick hind likes the Murray

Are you sure Kane Petiffer is playing at Barham and his name wasn’t just thrown up by some bloke on bigfooty?
Again, McLean and veszpremi weren’t mid 20s and straight out of the afl..

Prime will play after June 30, he'll play around the country. He's quite good value for money for a one off game, but not sure he's price for the second half of the year is worth he's output. He finished up at Phillip Island this year, west Gippsland league which may be slightly stronger than the cmfl and kicked a goal a game. Both him and pettifer would be well remunerated, not sure where the club is at the moment is a good fit for both players and the club, they'd be better trying to get a jermaine Jones to play the whole year
Just looked up Pettifer, he's now 42 years old and well past his use by date. In this last 50+ games he has only been listed amongst their best 5 times. Certainly better value players out there.

What were people’s thoughts on the umpiring in the league this season? I thought they did a great job.if you were to pick your top 4 who would they be? Mine would be,

Threadgold
Hirst
Edwards
Howden

Some would say Fraser but I thought he was a bit hot handed with the whistle..

Fantastic job I reckon considering the doom and gloom that was around.

The more we can pump em up the better and this year they deserve it

Better value based on what criteria?

Good list crippa, I agree, as I say they should be paid more and get more interest from ex players, thirsty hirsty the pick

Better value based on what criteria?
Value is a measure of all the costs and benefits associated with a product or service. Examples include price, quality, and what the product or service can do for that particular team. Simple concept when you think about it. Do I need to explain further or have you got a grasp on it now.

Was a great season by the umpires.

Fraser was very good in the grand final. Showed his experience by paying a couple of behind play free kicks to keep in control.

Overall was good to see some new faces umpire and they did a great job. Would be good to see some new ones next season as well.

Tom Isma back to Ultima. Another one out the door at the Swans
Real shame we never got to witness Isma in his prime. Would of loved to of seen him in the Central Murray more and challenged himself at a higher standard of football when he was younger. As he just didn’t quite click with the consistency he had shown in the Golden Rivers when he did make the switch back late into his career.

To be fair he would have learnt more under otoole at ultima than playing at tyntynder

Played with us at Lalbert for a short period and had talent….i was probably too hard on him and asked too much of him as we were a poor side if I’m honest. He certainly went on to flourish at Ultima and good on him

I think the golden rivers Just suits him better being a bit slower. He can play predominantly on ball there which is where he plays his best footy. He never seemed to break into woorinens midfield the games i saw.
More mid time at the swans though
