I agree… plenty of talk about Marcus being under pressure a few months into a new project at the Raiders where they’ve won 3 games in 3 years which I think abit unfair.

Huge pressure on Harry & Brent to deliver a premiership in 2025, they’ve been perennial bridesmaids for the best part of a decade… big names on every line, added even more firepower with the signing of Rankine.. the wolves are at the door, time to deliver

Lalbert and Cohuna both need a premiership. Talking to people who watched them they rekon Barham weren’t too bad last year and improved a lot on past seasons. They were just unlucky that everyone else except Boga were relatively strong.
Without seeing their draw they probably don’t even have to improve much to win half a dozen games with Boga, Swan Hill, Tyntynder and Balranald potentially all really poor this year.

I dont think bilton is in the same category as Arho is he? Past his best but he will be a good asset for some on field leadership. I don’t think he would be on ridiculous money? And probably a fair bit better bloke than Arho as well

Let’s be realistic about Arho. Plenty of talent, doesn’t perform any defensive acts other than standing on the mark. Going to need a big change in attitude if he is too contribute to building a team for the future.
I’ve seen people regular reference colts success as an indicator to future success. People need to realise that the colts standard is now so poor that few of the good colts players have the potential to be high quality senior players.

Agree with the colts theory. However, I've said it before I know. but to see Boga so dominant in the last 5 years and be incredibly ordinary in the seniors baffles me. I mean, look at Them (Boga) and Swan Hill, who are consistently finishing top three in finals in the colts, but their senior teams are cellar dwellers consistently

I think it'll be predominantly their twos side and better thirds coming through 4 or 5 guys from the grand final team. Marty Kelly clingan, Brad pay and young jardy still a grade players

That’s 100%. Jardine couldn’t get a kick in the twos. And while I rate pay as probably kerangs best player of the last 10 years, he is almost finished.

If you ever talk to any of the Kerang players, they rate Clingan very high. But think he’s only 18 is big ask

He debuted in 2009 at 15 for kerang seniors. I just checked, its 2024, 15 years later.

Biltons being a great player in the mcdfl no doubt. Probably carisbrook best player in the last 20 years, but he wouldn't be much younger than coatsy

Kirby would be my first picked at woorineen. He's proven it in Darwin and Ballarat
