Sorry to read your heading off the forum mate,Last post, but I think they will be looking at developing their fringe young players of last year and in the next 2 years find 6 or 7 good senior players, to add to the 5 or so left from the grand final side.
Then nitschke and hunter will come back better players and coach and have widened their contacts to bring 2 or 3 players with.them.
The biggest factor will be if the golden rivers falls over and whether or not they will gain or lose players to macorna wandella and murrabit who appear like they'll go to the lodfon Valley. They might gain juniors and then lose them back I'd kids move for uni or work south. As there will be less travel playing around Bendigo most weeks
As a casual viewer I just want to say Trent your views will be missed mate. Over the last 10-15 years many posters have dropped off bigfooty that really new the game and had great insight at club level. Really hope you do a backflip and come back with some views of local footy and a bit of banter. Silver tongue and roota are right, respect each other’s opinions before all valuable insight from posters goes and this page really turns to crap.Trent here guys, i decided to quit big footy, im nearly 43 and to be honest its not that high on my priority list in life at the moment, ive been on here 18 years and thats time. I did not expect it to take up forum space or chat
My views on footy might be out dated to some and id just prefer to spend my saturdays now watching my sons play footy and involved there, rather than worry about the plight of Koondrook barham and country footy. Crippa and co really didnt have too big of an impact on me quitting, i give as good as i get on these forums.
I would like to think i do know a little about the cmfl as a former player and avid spectator over the years, crippa is partly correct i think my last live game may have been 2019 watching, although i do prefer to watch country footy over the AFL, so i tune into a cmfl game on the net rather watching afl.
Ive been lucky enough to be involved in a quite a few footy clubs over the years and played under numerous coaches as well as though my work ive been lucky to see footy clubs across the state in the country and metro, where i think ive gained a pretty fair and broad understanding of what makes a successful club, how clubs turn their fortunes around and recruiting and having coaches and the board on the same page. Crippa and co seem to think that the Woorineen model is the be all and end all, which is fine and take Marcus' word as gospel.
The club im involved in just released their annual report and its evident that everyone is on the same page, even though they have lost many of their best players in the seniors, they'll still play finals as i say the club is well run, good junior programs that develops good players and teaches kids to play the right way and they a plan in place.
I will put it out there Crippa if the blues are short on players in the reserves, i'l lcome up and line up at centre half back in the twos against woorineen, hope to see you out there and ill keep an eye out on the results through the year. Im sure ill be reminded if the raiders go deep in finals , and you guys just enjoy about posting about local footy
