Would he put his hand up to coach the dogs next seasonhow good is luke o'toole and would he be coaching material?
Would he put his hand up to coach the dogs next season
how many teams will be on the look out for coaches next season, any chance of seeing L Bennett coaching his beloved eagles, i for one would play under the great man
Xavier Moloney made the All Australian team following the country carnival. A fair indication of his ability i would say.
So did Ryan O'Sullivan. A super effort from these two!
Just on O'Sullivan, was he ever considered for higher levels of football? He will go down as one of the greats of football in this league imo.
He went and had a year in the SANFL if i remember correctly. It has got me buggered how the Bendigo Bombers or any of the VFL clubs didnt get hold of him. A big bloke that can get around the ground as he does are exactly what the AFL looks for.
His record will compare with anyonne who has ever played up here thats for sure.
Did he make the Pioneers list when he was eligible. Would like to see how he would go in the VFL though.
I agree with you there Roota... He should have been scouted. What exactly were his flaws that seen him not picked up?
Okay fellas, time to start talking the talk. That time of year again.

where do you think they would play them?
where do you think they would play them?
well i can tell you now it wont happen again. there will not be an afl game played in the region until there is a ground that doesn't have a centre wicket area (which is crap cause i'm pretty sure QEO in bendigo still hosts cricket in summer anyone clarify?)
swan hill rural city council are looking at making Swan Hill Showgrounds a football only ground where Tyntynder and Swan hill would share facilities and the ground would be AFL only with summer to repair itself and host AFL/VFL games.
So that would make Alan Garden a cricket only venue then? Can't see any parties agreeing to that. I love my football as much as the next bloke and am all for making grounds safer, but the local sporting facilities are for everyone to use, not just football for six months of the year. Am not suprised that council would be looking at turning the rec into a football only venue, considering their mentality is give local football all it wants and stuff the other sporting organisations.
It was just a wish guys. But in saying that, I would like to think that the wider community would support an AFL practice match. Surely the grounds within the league could sustain the rigours of it. I mean it is the Country leagues around Victoria that produce a fair percentage of draftees each year. Why can't the AFL put something, that is meaningful, back into grassroots footy. Not just a token gesture like Grassroots footy week. Anyway....
Last round and the 5 looks set unless Tyntynder can pull off the win of the year. Balranald to have the week off in week 1. Some great finals action coming up and it should reflect in the finals gate takings. Correct me if I am wrong, but there may be all clubs participating in the finals apart from Lalbert and Nyah not being represented.
Pardon my ignorance, but... how do they decide who gets home rooms?[/quote]
Used to be the higher ranked side got the home rooms I think
