Every year I start to think that Ch7 cannot possibly get any worse but they always do. Luke Darcy on the weekend was a joke, but Ch7 shouldn't be putting him in that position in the first place.

Their coverage is an absolute disgrace and a blight on the game. Arguably the biggest hinderance for international marketing too.

Probably a good point. It's why the better commentators over the years haven't been players.

The sad things about AFL commentary in particular is that they fit the tactics / narrative / play-by-play description of the game to the score, not to the players or the teams or their strengths.

eg If they play on twice and kick goals, "magnificent play, that's what they have to do, take on the game".... until the next play on is a turnover and its "they've got to keep it simple, why play on, they have to control the football".... it's abysmal.
