I highly doubt that and that is just made up
Pyke has full confidence in Clarke and he will be dealing the trade other wise he would have been sacked by now
thats just wishfull thinking from eagles fans
Wrong

after the pick 3 trade outrage and pick 14 for Baker trade clarke was relegated from driver to passenger

Clarke was even sent out of the room during barrass trade negotiations

Happy to take bets

Then next minute

Matty Clarke runs into the room pick #3 on a platter along with Hawks 1st rounder :D
Our first rounder may be involved, who knows?

The point is, Sydney aren't giving up receiving 2x first rounders for an out of contract Chad Warner, just to 'let' him go to Richmond, if WCE refuse to involve our first rounder.

The only precedence in recent years of a club letting a player walk is Gold Coast with Jack Martin. GC have had so many top picks over the years they could afford to let him walk, because it wouldn't have mattered tot heir draft hand anyway.

Just look at how the Bulldogs have folded twice now, after trying to play hardball with Dunkley and Smith. Sydney will take a trade over letting Warner walk to the draft. I'm sure WCE will offer something adequate, should he request a trade tot hem.

Oh, it is 100% this. However the ITK is almost universally regarded as genuine on the WC board, has a really impressive record for providing insights, and some of the stuff he posts, you’d almost bet your house that he’s genuine.

If he’s not actually in the room, then it’s his next door neighbour/brother who is, and they’re having coffee and a chat 3 or 4 times a day over the fence.

And from what I’ve read over the last 3 years, you can’t catch him out on a single thing he’s said.

And some of the stuff is said months in advance, and it’s often stuff that you’re not making an educated guess on.

Just on this, the Bulldogs received unders, because in both trades, that is all Brisbane and Geelong had to offer.

In this scenario West Coast has the trade capital to meet Sydney’s potential asking price, but a lot of West Coast fans don’t want to pay what fans of other clubs are suggesting is fair value.

Yup.
I don’t doubt the validity of the claim.

But I’m astounded they decided the list manager who was recruited to do a job was effectively told not to do it.

It sounds like Clarke has lost the trust of the bloke that hired him.

But some have now in this thread also lauded his ability to turn pick three into Baker, Allan and Gross and also get Owies and Graham across.

Seems to be the cat the fans like to kick when they aren’t happy.

They may have received unders, but that's entirely the point. A club will accept what's on offer because they won't give the player up for nothing.

West Coast isn't obliged to offer their first rounder this year if they don't want to. They could simply say it's off the table altogether and there's nothing Sydney can do.

A culmination of Clarke and Pyke being both in their first year, I imagine.

I'd expect a bit more composure this year.

At the very least, Clarke was able to correctly identify the deadwood that needed culling as in years past, half of those blokes would've been offered an extra year or 2.

100%, WC have heaps of draft capital and will offer a fair price, they always deal in good faith.
More than any other club in the chase for Warner, it's Sydney or WC.
Hawks 1st(9-11), WC F1st(4-6) is an appropriate deal and fair price, in trading land that's 2 top 10 picks with the future discount, really about what WC and Sydney want and can agree on.

That’s not exactly true, Sydney could throw the toys out of the pram and send him to the draft or PSD.

Richmond most likely take him, or you have to use pick 3 if in the ND if you want him.

I’m just playing devils advocate here. I don’t personally believe he’s worth pick 3, and also believe Hawks pick plus your F1 is overs as well.
