Wouldn't have a problem if some of the other 20/20 leagues disappeared also.

I often thought a Southern Hemisphere type Champions League may be better. So maybe Winner from Aus, SA and NZ play each other once and then a final. Short and Sharp.

Some pretty short sighted views in here - weren't the Australian players who made it deep into the tournament bringing home in excess of 50k for a couple of weeks work? More than what they can make here in domestic cricket...

Yeah whilst the loss of a tournament with minimal significance doesn't reduce me to tears, it did bring in some serious money for the WACA as well as our young players perhaps adding to crickets attraction over other sports.

That just adds to the incentive to become T20 players ahead of FC players. That is strong enough already.
