North Melbourne could be forced into making as many as six changes for next week’s clash with Sydney, courtesy of injuries and a potential suspension.

The Roos’ horror season continued on Saturday with a 70-point loss to Port Adelaide, but more fallout has come in the form of injury.

Star midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke suffered a hamstring injury during the match, adding to a run of soft tissue complaints for the 23-year-old.

Adding to the side’s woes, Darcy Tucker also suffered a hamstring injury, while Flynn Perez and Jack Mahony were ruled out of the match with concussion and a shoulder injury respectively.

Foxfooty.com.au has also confirmed Cameron Zurhaar suffered facial swelling and was sent for scans after the match.

North Melbourne’s availability could also be hampered by the loss of Aidan Corr, who will likely be suspended for at least one match due to an off-ball strike on Ollie Lord.

Corr’s strike is likely to be graded as at least low impact and high contact, with a grading of medium impact also possible.

It will likely be graded as intentional conduct (as most non-football acts are), with low impact resulting in a one-match ban and medium impact a two-match ban.

With that in mind:

OUT: LDU, Tucker, Perez, Mahony (inj), Corr (susp) and Spicer (sub)
IN: CCJ, Harvey, Wardlaw, Hall and Phillips.

If Zurhaar misses Cunnington may also come in.

Drury hasn't done enough to warrant another game, but because of all the injuries may get a second chance.

Out In
Mahony (inj) Harvey (can play same role)
LDU (inj) Philips/Cunners? Probably prefer Philips for defensive efforts and being the future
Tucker (inj) Wardlaw
Perez (inj) Goater (if fit)
Corr (susp) CCJ (send Griff back)
Spicer (sub) Ford (Sub between him/Harvey or Wardlaw)

I know its not always like for like replacements, just trying to find the team balance given the number of likely outs.
Goater likely MCL.

This weekend, we have:
Corr - suspended
Goater - MCL in the vfl
Z - Broken Jaw
Mahoney - Shoulder (not sure if it’s a long term injury), possible reconstructive surgery being the second time.
Perez - Concussion
LDU - strained hammie
Tucker - Hammie

Outs: The above, minus Goater of course.

Ins:
CCJ (Logue back), Ford, Wardlaw, TT, Cunners, Howe/Bonar (cupboard is bare)

OUT: Mahony (inj) LDU (inj) Tucker (inj) Perez (inj) Taylor (omit) Scott (omit)
IN: Wardlaw Cunnington CCJ Thomas Phillips Ford

B: Corr McKay Ziebell
HB: Sheezel Logue Bergman
C: Shiels Cunnington McDonald
HF: Stephenson CCJ Thomas
F: Curtis Larkey Zurhaar
R: Goldstein Simpkin Phillips
I: Wardlaw Drury Ford Greenwood

I’d drop Corr, McKay and McDonald too if I could. We’re stuffed
Needs more powell

I swear, if someone told me a few coven's of witches had combined to put a major curse on us, i would almost believe them.

Why be such a tool?

Why support a bloke that is pissing, shitting and setting fire to the jumper with his efforts.

Only the blind can’t see that this bloke is not even trying.
Hotchilli the Roosurgence as harsh as it sounds is totally on the money with his assessment of McKay. After the match I went through my head listing previous backmen who provided more effort than him: Archer, Spud, Scooter, Browny, Shannon Watt, Gibbo, Tarrant, even the lesser lights on this list had something that McKay seems incapable of producing, an impact on the play, a big body presence that at the very least made it harder than a walk in the park for the opposition forwards. He's either soft, dumb, can't be f'd, just not that good or a combination of all these. Put a fork in him he is done lets get what compo we can for him and trade him to Carlton. I don't watch the VFL but there has to be someone in the backline there who is willing to be accountable, make an effort and play their guts out for the jumper, whoever fills these criteria should be in next week. :(

We still have Powell, Phillips, Young and l feel would be a better option that Howe or Bonar...

The verdict is surely in. He’s not a key backmans arseh*le

In Tarryn Thomas, wardlaw and Phillips.
Literally could not give a flying fk who else comes in.

He is, but he surely has committed to another club and has put the queue in the rack.

Unfortunately for us, we have the bloke that doesn’t have the character or commitment to go out with effort and give the club his best.

Best thing for the club is to get rid of blokes like this, even though we won’t get his proper value.

If Clarko is fairdinkum, send a message and drop him to the VFL. I would rather watch Bonar spud it up that this bloke take the piss, at least Bonar tries.

Had enough. Wouldn’t play this plonker again. I agree with the bonar scenario. But gees I feel dirty. He’s just as useless but he tries harder…..

I think the club needs someone to come in with a giant stick of sage and clear the bad juju energy at the club that’s been around since at least 2020.

Clarko needs to draw a line in the sand with some of these blokes.

Plenty getting games that are taking the piss and happy to get paid.

If they want to get better, get rid of the frauds and start playing the blokes that want it, regardless of results.

I have been fortunate enough to see this club produce good football sides with less talent, based on their character and effort.

I think Clarko is actually being too soft on them and they are taking advantage.

As much as I want to see wardlaw in the top side I don’t think it’s wise to bring a guy in that has just come back from three weeks out with the hamstring awareness and knee knock.

I can see the tank being there.

But I do want him in soon, this week might be too soon.

That said we may need to solely because he’s actually available
