On Groins

Grade 1 strains will take 1 to 2 weeks of rest before a person can return to exercise. Normal movement, such as walking, should be possible within a few days.

Grade 2 strains may take 3 to 6 weeks to heal fully.

Grade 3 strains happen when most or all of the muscle is torn. The muscle can take 3 to 4 months to repair completely.

Worse thing you can possibly do is try to play through them.

Fingers crossed its a traditional strain and not something else like OP

Compare the respective midfield rotations of both clubs and there’s no way we win this one. Their depth in that position is staggering. What could we learn from the camries about limiting their output because it nearly worked twice.

I tried bowling in cricket with a torn groin. An experience even at amateur level that was agony. Shame we had no one else.

a lot of people seem to think it's top two or bust but surely all that matters is everyone is fit when it matters. I'd almost want to see another staggering half a dozen outs. i don't know. i think reading about Butters groin problem has just melted my brain.

I just want to win a flag, I don't give a shit how it happens, I just personally don't think we can achieve it playing Bris in Bris in a QF. So it's vital we find a way to finish 2nd. If we finish 3 or 4 and win through then fantastic, just can't see it happening.

To be honest though, I don't see how in the world we would beat Collingwood on the G on GF day anyway, so if we don't make it, it might save us some embarrassment.

Geelong had only lost one game in 2008 before the Grand Final. Get there and anything can happen.

Really? I thought going to ground signalled his ribs were fractured (which they were). There’s nothing wrong with his speed or mind. It was a stinker of a game, three players looked up to it, let’s see if we can regroup this week.
From memory, Boak was crunched badly 3 times in that game ?

If lycett is injured, then just play Hayes. (Yes, he should have played in the Carlton game). I hope we don’t play Jonas for the rest of the season. If McKenzie is not quite right, then play Pasini (I know he has not set the world on fire). I would also like to see Jackson play, but that is a lot of inexperience coming in.

People live in fear because of 2007, at some point you have to put ya big boy pants on again.

2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022 stick in people’s minds too.

But I agree, got to be in it to win it.

Do we get an unearned home grand final like Hawthorn did that year?

Get there and anything can happen, usually aside from a non Victorian team winning.

All this game is useful for is first hand watching Collingwood play against us and figuring out a systemic way to beat them with the way that they play, doesn't need to be implemented fully.

Hold back a little and give them the arrogance to beat us on our own turf.

Port are playing finals. Here to hunt a premiership, not beat Collingwood.

Are player targeting Boaks ribs I don't remember someone being hit in the same place so often

Willem Drew to tag Nick Daicos?
