As DD said in his presser it wasn't a personnel issue, so fully expect to go in unchanged.

In all seriousness I couldn't think of a worse preparation and lead into the biggest home and away game of our season, hope you've all got your "sh!tting" pants on, because this could get messy.

It won't tell us anything, we're working through a few key injuries and it looks like we will be very undermanned.

If we play again in finals and have a fit starting side, it's a different ball game.

Collingwood right now have no injury concerns, but it may not be the case come September.

We've already shown this season that our best can match it, we've beaten more top 8 sides than most. One loss whilst banged up doesn't change that.
I find your positivity admirable, but it's not the loss that's the issue, that was always likely to come it's the way in which we lost, the fact a strong portion of this board predicted precisely the fall out from Thursday's selections and the team in which we lost so heavily to.

You have far more confidence in a team/ club which has repeatedly let us down after building up immense hope.

I didn't watch the Maggies on the weekend. If Jonas is omitted this weekend what is the better option Bonner with a shuffle of positions or Pasini?

Dont expect a Pasini debut this year, particularly in such a big game.
Feel sorry for the bloke, I saw him play the week before he did his knee and thought he was a guarentee'd spot in the A's - he hasn't seemed to have returned to that form as yet. I noticed he was named in the best on the weekend so wondered if I'd missed something.

McStay, Cox and Mihocek plus the leaping, leading and marking ability of Elliott, Hill, Johnson and DeGoey. That’s a forward line that is tall and plays even taller.

Very fair shout. My point is more than Jonas is useless. He cannot do a job on any of these blokes.

I don't have the stamina to watch the replay but it did seem that Jonas directly gave up 3-4 goals, smothered Aliir for another and completely messed with the team defence.

We can't afford to start a game against Collingwood five goals down :(.

As much of a presence as SPP has been having up forward, and DBJ's pressure has been pretty good - we had no natural small forwards against Carlton.

Bringing in Rioli and Raz will be a huge boost to our scoring potential.
SPP misses way too many goals. Either misses or often doesn't make the distance. Yeah we like what he brings but if he's not getting the job done on the scoreboard he needs to make defenders look over their shoulder.

If Jonas is listed on Thursday, I'm seriously going to consider mortgaging my house and putting it all on Collingwood. I mean, they're going to win anyway, but with Jonas in......

Also, for the posters that are always saying "Collingwood are proof that rucks are overrated", watch the Collingwood midfield get silver service this weekend if Lycett plays.

I watched the 04 GF last night, don't think I watched it since 04. The thing that struck me is we kicked a lot of regulation goals, no around the corner kicks just skill at kicking the football through the big sticks.

I hold my breath every time we kick for goal (Except Mac and Cheese - he seems reliable).

SPP and half the team seem to rely on manic pressure and kicking goals out of our arse for 10-15min. They all need to kick dumb simple goals more often.
