There's a reason you see Darling getting possessions across half back and JK on the wing more than in the goalsquare.

Mids to actually get the ball forward of centre occasionally so that the forwards don't have to get sucked up the ground in the hope of getting a possession.

There's a reason you see Darling getting possessions across half back and JK on the wing more than in the goalsquare.

I know midfield have to actually try and win a contest then get the ball but on the rare occasions they do or if a backman decides to kick forward, we need someone there to kick to. We are too slow at getting back.
Our forwards with the little supply they get actually do better than we all think.
