Half our list are very marginal AFL players. They should be moved on if they are not a strong contributor after 3 seasons. Obvious exception i super tales and Bolt pace whic we have Bolt of.

Our list management, tallent identificaion and development is very poor and the Swns showed us how a good organisation handles it, with a depleted team that was YOUNGER than ours. I strongly suspect this is a club management is a major issue.

We've probably only worked out now that Rotham and Foley are not up to it. Nelson - I think we've all know for a while but injuries meant he had to play. The whole premiership window makes it hard to manage this - when that window is open, developing of players is hardly considered and it's all about the now (and so it should be). I don't think Harry Edwards is up to it either. Naish has to improve his disposal to be a serious long term player (he's been good though).

I suspect we're going to turn over a lot of those youngish players this season. Give them a decent shot, have a look at them, and if they're going to be fringe players at best, delist. Keeping dong it until you find a gem.

We have the next 6 games: Port (we'll play them into form), Richmond, Brisbane, Melbourne, Giants (away), and Bulldogs....

We could be 1-10 at the halfway mark. 2-9 at best.

This is going to get messy.

I think all of this talk about delisting Harry Edwards is a bit premature.
He's a 21 year old KKP.

Sure he looked out of his depth last night, but he was in a side that was getting slaughtered.

Everyone needs to take a deep breath methinks.

lol at Foley and Edwards suggestions- both have shown promise however not in best form atm but hey none of the team is. Rotham concerns me however, absolute panic merchant.
Desired changes:
Out- Rotham, Langdon, Darling, Nelson, Hedwards
In- Hough, SPS, Waterman, Clark/XON, Gov
Realistically:
Out- (the usuals) Langdon, JJ (had 8 touches unfortunately), Rotham, Hed
In- Petch, Gov, SPS, Hough

Id never noticed it before but gee he is slow over the ground. There was a bit of play in the first quarter where McDonald left him for dead

Seems a bit harsh to get stuck into young defenders when Sydney had 65 inside 50s.

This was on the midfield. But frankly the bruise free footy and lack of coordination in team defence or offence was awful particularly the first quarter which was the most pathetic I have ever seen by our team.

He’s getting towelled by younger key Fwds.

Actively avoids body contact and then repeatedly mistimes the flight of the ball.

Unfortunatley he is a spud, but he will get 10 year career at WC and play about 50 games.

This board is certainly going to be an interesting place if Naish gets dropped in favor of Gaff next week........

Naish’s disposal was awful yesterday, particularly in the first half. The fact his disposal efficiency was acceptable is proof that disposal efficiency is a flawed measure.

The kid has play about 10 games.
Had a shocker last night but the ball was always in there.

Too harsh to call him a spud this early in I think.

Thats harsh still a lot of upside in young edwards

on a side note ....is Allen a chance this week ??
Surely Allen plays a couple of WAFL games first. Even Simmo should be able to figure out that if you have 4 guys who can only play 75% TOG then you're going in with one player short.

I think as members we should all get a courtesy message informing us when they intend to pick guys just to get a few km’s in their legs so we know not to bother turning up.

Waterman is one of our weakest. Jusrt a good WAFL player at best. I am afraid Petch is a bust. langdon and JJ work hard enough (that is far harder than others). Darling shot himself in the foot missing the pre season. He is a bust for this season and tradeable, and Jk is a legacy. Ryan isnt actually fit enoygh to play a full game in a strong manner. All in all we were good based on forward pressure in 2018 - that has evaporated completely.

What was disappointing is that for a period in the third we competed and did ok. Footy isnt a few minute game though.
What is now evident is thet Gov must be the Captain over Luke.

Yep. Still, at least he had a crack, and those risky kicks he botched last night came off beautifully last week. I'd much rather watch young players screw up attacking footy than see veterans try to limit the damage with slow, conservative play and get thrashed anyway.
