Nice work directly ignoring the direction. You’re a bit obsessed
To be honest I don't really care what the general view of me is from a community that largely skews to the 55-64 age demographic bracket. I maintain that my entire issue was with a player of ours breaking confidence when it comes to one of our senior players being emotional. I don't care who they told, just that people were told and it was allowed to run rampant on social media. If I was upset about something I'd like to think my close mates wouldn't go and tell randoms about it.

That was my issue, and if people choose not to believe me then that's their issue and I can't do anything about it.

And Fly had said he was probably right to go in the last game he missed, definitely would have played if that game was just a day later or a do or die match .. and then we had the bye which is included in the 27 days.
It feels like you’re rationalising which I get, but it’s a hamstring going into a GF. That would not only take one of the ballsiest match committee moves ever, but also put a lot of faith in a guy that’s had a history of pushing to hard with injury recovery and did it under very innocuous circumstances. I think TRS’ 5% was optimistic and he’s next door to zero chance. It probably simplifies McRae’s pre-match video this week 😭

Tough for Adams now being ruled out.

I’m leaning towards that it secretly balances the team better if Naicos is in with Adams out…
Absolutely. Prior to this all the talk was about dropping lipinski because we had one too many slower type mids. So he gets a reprieve ( was playing ok and would have been a tough call to drop him) . Now unfortunately another of them goes out instead… but regardless it’s IN fast OUT slow.

It’s a better balance even if adams is not the one you want to see go out. His inside minutes can be shared around with the existing players getting more time that they were missing out on previously…. Mitchell lipinski crisp Pendlebury Nick D etc

Didn’t some Richmond player play with half a hamstring in a grand final not long ago? And played well from memory?

I'm just clarifying the 27 days for Moore, who has a history of hamstring injuries & which looked more than a minor strain needs to put into perspective. The 27 days Moore was out for included a couple of games which we didn't need to win, were not finals and it included a bye.

If Adams hamstring strain is minor, he's still a chance for the GF if we're there.

I'm still hopeful.

Cheers mate, sounds like the squad has the flexibility to cover his potential loss.
Definitely it’s why we could cover the loss of Naicos v the Dees. You can’t directly replace Adams competitiveness ahead of the ball, but we have to juggle it to try and find a way to match his in hand output.

This is more what I was getting at than the Moore stuff. TBH even if he gets to the line fitness wise I’m not picking him from here because if he goes down early in a GF that could be curtains.

When there’s no next week, playing in a grand final, I would think you could go the route of the jabs Brisbane were big on in the early 2000s.
If you do some further damage, you have the off season for surgery and rehab.
Grand finals are worth the risk if the damage isn’t going to be career ending.
I would say if adams is ok to play and just needs pin management, they’ll do that for the grand final if we get there.

You can’t jab a hamstring.

They’ll put Tay through a pretty gruelling fitness test in the Thursday before the GF you’d think so if he passes that he’ll probably get picked to play

Adams out hurts
Absolute in and under at coalface - never waits, goes and gets the ball, gets it moving forward
If he misses GF, we need to back-to-back
Unfortunate for Adams but better now than in the Prelim.

Other teams have rolled the dice with injured players against Collingwood in grand finals and got away with it. I have ptsd about them…. Lappin is one. Happy to not close the door on any possibility.
Could Ginni come into the 22 and bring in Noble as sub and drop Lippa?
Noble can play back and wing and gives us good run. Does the 1 per centers like desperate smothers really well too
We aren’t dropping lipinski with adams out.

I’m sure it’s been covered in the last 6 pages but I’m sorry Adams with your history, there is no way I’d be picking him in a Gf.

But hey, that may not be a problem let’s just get through next week first right?
