I remember being in the crowd in 2019 and it was pretty quiet. We went in there expecting to win, and then when things started to go pear shaped the crowd collectively started to s**t itself and it was quiet in a totally different way. Can't let this happen again.

We need not only everyone to turn up if they're able, but we need to bring the noise and positive energy. Go absolutely feral for us if need be. Make it as inhospitable as possible. If we're lucky to get a good start make it feel overwhelming. If we start slow get around us. We've earned this advantage, lets make the most of it!

GWS coming off two six day breaks interstate. It would be a phenomenal effort by them to run the game out against us. Port kicked 1.9 in the last quarter. Now they have to back up on the MCG against a defensive monster.

A fair bit of doom and gloom on here. It's not like GWS won by 15 goals running away.

It's prelim final time, the last 4 teams, the best of the best. Of course our opponent is going to be damn good.

But guess what? So are we. We'll bring the heat and let's see if the Orange team can go with us over 4 quarters.

Adams is a big loss. He's our best inside mid when the game is at its hottest. As he showed against Melbourne. De Goey and Crisp the two that will need to step up, Mitchell has been too slow and ineffectual, especially early.

This will also tempt us to increase Nick's centre square minutes.

Think GWS will have to deal with a few more stoppages and in your face pressure next week.

If Nick plays a mid-forward as some suspect, J-F Nobes may be handy returning to that back flank replacing Crisp who'd be playing solely midfield.

Crisper might have to play more in the midfield due to loss of Tay.

Hoyne and King had Mitchell going out for NDaicos on Pure Footy. Now it will be Adams by the look, so Mitchell needs to step up.

I would be giving Pendles more of a role in the centre bounces, because he is so brilliant in positioning himself effectively and winning the ball due to this factor. GWS dominated PA mostly due to their speed and postioning in clearances. Pendles doesn't have the speed, but he has the football IQ to anticipate the play and the evasive capacities to seize the clearance, or block theirs.
I would also get Pendles to instruct JDG and Crisp on how to counter the GWS mids.
Mitchell needs to be assisted by intelligent positioning from our mids. Maybe McCreery as well to go full bore at some clearances to provide a big body in support of Titch. Also maybe even Bruzza.

This current team would beat that 2019 Collingwood side by 6 goals easy. That side was a defensive bore fest

We most certainly need the 19th man to carry us home. I like in 2019 when it was pouring rain this Friday’s forecast is sunny and 19. The crowd in 2019 was very quiet until the last 15 minutes when 75,000 Collingwood fans starting going nuts. This Friday night will sellout. It be great to have 90,000 Collingwood fans going feral even before the game. So come on magpie army let’s give the giants a very warm reception when they run out onto the ground. We cannot rake them lightly. We must win it out of the middle as the Giants midfield is scary good. Pressure pressure pressure them and they will turn it over. They are very skilful but apart from green they lack toughness imo
