Cox likely retires this year anyway, probably more so the longer he is out of the team. But think its what most expected anyway.

He’s been a remarkable story. To learn the game so much later than everyone else and to make it at the top level. Even winning a flag.
It’s a career he should be very pleased with no matter how this year plays out.

For the first time I’m going to have a go at Fly. Now he’s done this to two players, Fin and Ed. He says during a press conference when asked about these players, “ we want to get them into our side, they’re important to our team.” What happens they don’t get played.. he said it about ED this week and last and said it several times about Fin and we know how he’s been treated. A quarter here and there in the AFL when he gets picked. Now it looks like Ed is going to cop this treatment.
We have the oldest side ever to play an AFL match this week I hope both players are in touch with their management team. Yes Fin is injured but he should be desperately looking for other options and Ed well I hope he’s been tapped on the shoulder and been told that there will be changes at years end and the younger players will have more of a go next year as some list spots will be opened up.

The bloke he’s fighting for a spot is 22.

Sick of reading made up tripe about Membrey ad nauseum.

He wasn't offered a contract because at one stage during the season he was in a very dark space mentally and Lyon didn't think this was good going forward.

He often gets moved forward or back depending on the situation. Frampton is good insurance. We lack height in defense when he isn't in the line up.

Plenty of opinion that Silvagni is Carlton's best player???

Lmao. Rubbish. Load of tripe. He was offered a one year contract and not guaranteed a place in the firsts squad. Lyon wanted to play the younger players.

Fin’s manager has been calling around for the better part of the past 12 months. The only reason he’s still with us is because there’s no one interested and we erred in giving him the extra year. It’ll take a Herculean effort for him to earn another contract. Ed will be back because he’s now the next mid in.

The worst part about it is it's weakened our VFL team over the last few years. He could have played senior players in the VFL and given more games to Bianco and Ruscoe too. I'll never forgive him for this.

It helps but to be fair we have beaten them multiple times with Mckay and Curnow playing. I'm not sure how many times Hollands has played against us. It just annoys me when the media goes on about all of the Dog's stars missing last week. We have beaten them plenty of times with all of them playing.

Yeah, but we probably wouldn't have if they were playing last week. Add Bont, Treloar, Weightman, and the other 1-2 missing players, and they beat us pretty easily.

A way to early projection would have him tracking towards a top 3 B&F finish for them. TDK and Weitering are the only two I’d have clearly ahead of him with Cripps off his best so far this year.

It’s a ripping debate. If Bont is fit is Freijah receiving the same opportunities? If Treloar is in there are Libba and Richards as impactful? If they had them all available would they have moved the ball the same way to isolate Darcy or backed themselves in to be more contest dominant completely changing the look of the game? If those players are fit are we able to move it a bit easier because superstar ball winners they are and elite pressure players they are not? I tend to think we’d have still got them if we tidied up our connection.
