Um..

Lippa had 25 disposals. 8 tackles. 13 contested possessions, 7 score involvements, 5 clearances.
Tonight is not a game where there was any merit to drop him.

He was much better offensively and classy with his ball use. His efforts to tackle and defend around the ball are still very worrying.

They don't get dropped. That's the point.

Everyone seems so faux outraged at the idea of them being dropped after one ok game as if it's so sacreligious.

Yet all the same people didn't utter a peep after Johnson got dropped despite 6 in 2 weeks lol

Spare me
Lipiniski’s game was a fair bit better than ok

The Geelong game makes our best 23 selection more difficult. Ginnivan looked good, but hard to fit in when we're fully fit. Lipinski played his best in the middle but with Nick and Sidey back its more difficult to play him there. Like the run and aerial effort provided by Hosk, but again will struggle to fit into our best team. Howe is promising forward, but does this rule out a resting ruck forward? Positive for Frampton as the defence/ruck.

I don't think our best 23 players make our best team. We are too slow and aerially challenged in some areas. Will be a difficult balance.

I don't know why people think Frampton played well in the ruck. He had two hit outs and we still lost the overall count.

Because I'm not gonna let a few score involvements in one game cloud me from seeing how he has performed over the course of the season?

I've been defending Lipinski from the mob too this season and even I'm coming around on the idea that he probably needs a break
I think you need a break.

They both were fantastic last night.

They both were fantastic last night.

I know he was good last night

I also don’t think he’s been as bad as most think he has since returning. But over the last few weeks I was starting to see what everyone else had been seeing much earlier than me

He gave up on our team earlier in the week.
Some of the things I read here are mind numbing.

The latest today is Pendles is slow and Sidebottom is past his use by date.
Moore is shite, WHE same.
Cameron the latest victim while Markov has superstar status all of a sudden. Slagged off badly earlier in the year.

I never said he did. Asked the question whether Howe forward means we can't play a resting ruck forward. If so, that points towards Frampton as backup ruck from defence. Don't think he did much ruck work against Cats though. Moore went off fairly early.

But over the last few weeks I was starting to see what everyone else had been seeing much earlier than me
But you've also been seeing calamity with us not winning any more games, so perhaps you should get your eyes tested.

Glad to see Markov getting the good wraps he deserves, but the sudden Cameron whipping you mention has been mind-boggling.

Cameron is no chance of being dropped and nor should he be.

Ah. Howe forward does change some things and Frampton back is good.

But I've struggled to see much in Cameron. Last night he had 0 marks and only six disposals. Sure, he puts up the HOs but Geelong played Stanley and Neale (a second gamer) and still managed to beat us there.

Out: Moore, WHE/Mitchell (sub)
In: ruscoe, Sidebottom

Ginni gets a full game.

Keen to keep the experiment of Howe playing forward going. Ruscoe, looked good in the game earlier in the year. The injury is a opportunity to see how he goes before finals against good opposition. As well as have a wider sample size of Howe forward.

He only played a few minutes there and then Darcy got injured and he played defence for the rest of it.

But Pendles IS slow

But it’s not Pendles fault he was obviously sent to Dangerfield for some inexplicable reason

Each time you saw Danger in the second half waltz away from the centre, he was on Pendles.

It doesn’t take away from the good things he did. Be he IS slow.

If Moore is out I'd bring in Kruegar. I think we need Frampton back and don't like Mcstay in the ruck unless we have no other option. Honestly don't know how you drop anyone.
Markov doesn't deserve it but if Sidebottom is fit? WHE played a great game and I think Gini could be the missing link for our forward 50. When Nick is back there's going to be some unlucky players.

Exactly. You only rest the players that are genuinely sore.
Some of these players like Mitchell as an example want to play on.
Up to the player and Coach.
pablo disco bar has tweaked his catchphrase to:

Just don't play him.
