Well put.

The question you could also ask is to what extent our reputation is enhanced by going from 0-17 to 1-16, particularly when that 1 win was gained at the expense of young players

I agree. There's no point showing that guys like Gibbs, Mackay, Hartigan and Kelly can win you games of football. None of them have a long term future at the club so who cares.

I get that you do want the young players to learn how to win, but for them there will be no better feeling than when they break through based on their own strong performances. If they know and feel that they have contributed to the win, they've won based on their merit, that's a huge boost for development. Will they get that if only a handful are mere passengers to guys like Gibbs running around, while the rest sit in reserves scratch matches?

I think Kelly can have a decent AFL career, but yeah not with us

Gibbs replaces Brouch, Kelly replaces Doedee.

Get on Bryce to float around on his own unattended 10 metres behind the contest for the entire game and pick up 30 & 2 and you will clean up. :thumbsu:

So, for the compressed schedule we have:

Will play every game: Talia, Hartigan, Brown, Laird, Smith, Mackay, Lynch, ROB, M. Crouch, Keays, Murphy, Stengle, Walker, Seedsman, Hamill

Will play some games: Doedee (inj), Gibbs, Jones/McHenry, McAsey/Fog, Himmelberg/Frampton, Atkins, Kelly, McAdam, McPherson (the latter two have a history of injury so they'll get rested even if they don't get injured again)

Might play: Sholl, Crocker, Knight

Won't play: Worrell, Butts, Strachan, Poholke, Davis, Wilson, Taylor, Gollant, O'Connor, Schoenberg

Injured: B. Crouch, Sloane, Milera, Gallucci

I dont reckon Walker and Tals will play every game, certainly not Walker

Oh come on, you are ignoring the good footy he played for us in 2018 and in 2019 he had reported personal issues and lets face it the coaching staff last year didn't help him. The way I see it in 2018 he was able to play his natural position as Brad Crouch was out for the season and he excelled finishing 4th in the b&f.

Then comes 2019 and Brad Crouch is back and the coaching staff were trying to turn him into a different type of player which didn't help, they were expecting him to change his game style. I think Gibbs has been a victim of having too many of the same types as him.

Brad crouch and Gibbs are the same type of player? you've got to be kidding me.

People have very odd ideas of what sort of player Gibbs is.

Oh yay, Brouch for Gibbs one Inclusion already, would have much much preferred Shuey!!! Even Poholke, not sure on the point of playing Gibbs anymore..

Lets all wait for the other change being Kelly foe the Dood replacement, another underwhelming decision looming, really hope im wrong and its a Butts/Worrell or so on..

We have slowly worked our way back to an old list playing - Players that werre not playing hat now are - Hartigan, Mookay, Giibs, Seed and Myurphy also reintroduced instead of McHenry... Not liking where the selections are heading..

Club has already mentioned Walker won't play all games. Wouldn't rush Fog back against North, then bring him in for Tex against Dees.

Would play either Talia or Hartigan over the compressed period. Give Butts a go in 2 of the games & McAsey/Worrell in the other 2.

But yet they played him in Brads position in 2018 and i know they aren't the same type but what i mean is the midfield couldn't have all of Gibbs, Crouches and Sloane in the same midfield plus we had Greenwood and CEY during that time.

No Polec or Brown for North this week.

Increases their chances.
Perfect game to rest Talia then as needed for Dees as they are playing 2/3 talls.

So what you're saying is that he was our 5th best midfielder once we had a fit side.

Yet somehow he is a good enough player that we have to get him on the park to get a win and **** the kids?

Polec dropped "on form".

He was near BOG for us last week! :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

It's on!

Wait what?

They are clearly tanking if those guys aren't injured

So they're playing it smart while we're playing it as dumb as possible.

This is seeming like the perfect storm for the Crows to steal a completely meaningless win.

Crows playing $2.5 is suddenly tempting when one side is desperate to win and one is desperate to lose

These fu**s are going the full tank against us!

If they are trying to lose on purpose that reduces the merits of any potential win even further

Once again shows we're the stupidest club in the league. Roos eyeing the #1 pick and we're too busy eyeing a face saving meaningless win to look at the long term.

If they plan on tanking the rest of the year they could very well get pick #1.

Us winning this week would reduce the margin to 1 win and percentage. North tanking could eradicate that percentage easily and then all we'd need is another win to lose the spoon

Well he did seem to lose his place in the side and lost confifence in his game and also i dont think us playing him is saying f*ck the kids. Theyll get their chance when they deserve it, dont know why people like you get so angry. I hardly think playing Bryce Gibbs is going to delay our rebuild, no need to overreact so much.

I doubt pick 1 to north is going to ruin Adelaide's draft plans.
