Say if Rick and serong are also out.
in: Jeager, Ras, ???
out: Aish, Rick, Serong

How do we cover rick's forward/wing role?

Caleb Serong has been managing that ankle for a month.

O'Meara will come back and Walters to start hopefully.

I'm going with: OUT Aish (inj), Sturt (omit) IN O'Meara, Walters

Banfield would be very unlucky to get dropped. He's had a terrific year and certainly not the reason we lost.

Credit where it's due, Shai Bolton and Tim Taranto murdered us. Bolton in particular was exceptional when the game was there to be won.

We don't have a Shai Bolton. For all the criticism he cops for being a 1 sided player, without him I doubt Tigers win that one.
Yes - I think Banfield stays.

Sturt or Henry out for Walters.

I’d promote Ras from second emergency to Sub.

I’d also be moving Clarke to Wing and giving him licence to run and carry this week. Has struggled for a couple of weeks in backline.

Using Luke Jackson as the number 1 ruck may work to some extent, however I think it also blunts his unique abilities to some degree.

We have ruckmen, who are not rookies, who should be capable of playing the number 1 ruckman, giving LJ more freedom around the ball ups.

Sounds like it might have gotten worse

It was better prior to the session so it's possible that it's just as bad as it was the last few weeks and he pulls back the training again - he was hoping to ramp up mid week training this week.

Who are these ruckman you speak of?

Reidy and kuek are rookies

Knobel isn't a rookie but he's a first-year plus and nowhere near ready

Benning plays reserves footy

Genuinely not sure who you're talking about?

Briggs has only played 13 games and is similarly built to Reidy. I don't see why Reidy shouldn't be given a chance unless he has been crap at Peel.

That's not how it works.

Also, are people serious suggesting Sturt keeps his spot over Banfield? Banfield has been one of our better forwards this season.

If socials are any indication, Worner is a strong chance and Sturt will stay in
Most likely as sub.
Henry will remain given the players out, JL hate doing both injuries AND omissions at the same time.
Serong and Frederick will battle through.
Really dampened at the fact Jackson will lead the ruck with Treacy as back up.
Surely should be looking at Corbett or Kuek as third tall. Treacy is missed inside 50. If that’s the case, then bring in a forward to replace and keep the structure.

So Aish out for 2 games.
Surely a good opportunity to let Worner have a real crack.
I listened to JL's presser to see if this was brought up, was weird

He was asked if it was 2, then JL said nah 1 but then he said aish has had concussions before and it could be 3 😂

So fk knows what's going on

Based on Aish’s past concussion history. Think probably will be 2. Being cautious.

It will certainly play well to a jury that Fremantle had an abundance of caution with James Aish by holding him back an extra week.

The injuries are a damn shame for the players and for the team cohesion that was emerging pre-bye. And Aish was virtually BOG from where I sat till his concussion.

Opportunities for others, sure, but inevitably it's a bit of a step backwards till the new mix blends. Ah well.

Re Luke Jackson as main ruck, I wish there was a decent alternative. He is a marvellous talent but the rucking is so demanding, no surprise he missed a shot on goal he'd get in previous weeks. Thought Treacy did a very creditable backup job given all the circs.
