I think we have to be very careful to preserve the defensive work ethic we have in our forward half which is winning us games, and bringing in Dale or Hunter because they are getting a lot of kicks and dropping someone like Dickson or Honeychurch is trying to fix something that isnt broken.

If Fletch can cement a spot in the side, our options open up immensely.

Id drop Cords and make Roughead first ruck with a chopout from Big Boyd.

Webb has had a good taste, but is making a habit of being cooked by 3/4 time, so yeah, there is no reason to run him into the ground.

Is there any reason not to bring Grant straight back in for a dry fast track?

Roberts played very well, he and wood saved us the game in the last 5 mins

I'd almost bring in a Campbell or redpath this week or swing Roberts forward and try to stretch saints down back they have Delaney fisher and Dempster. If we can have them have to send Dempster and a small defender to stringer and Crameri it would be a huge plus for us, as it stands there backline is a good match for us

BTW ... Dickson was 'huge' yesterday. Best game for our club (including the 6 goal effort v Crows a few years ago). If you watch the reply his pressure acts were off the charts and he is now doing the team things. Responsible for 2-3 goals directly, particularly Crameri's 2nd where he laid a tackle and shepherd. Much improved in this area ... if he could just learn to steady on the run ...

Reckon he's gained a yard of pace as well. Look like he's reasonably quick at times compared to the last couple of years.

We'd be better off playing Grant as a ruckman. He couldn't possibly be more uncompetitive there than Cordy. And picking up a ball cleanly below his knees once doesn't make him good around the ground

We finally have a settled back 6....take Rough out as 1st ruck and we risk blowing that up.

Saints are really giving Essendon a hard time....

Saints struggle with their disposal a bit at least, so that plays nicely into our good play from turnovers.
I've only caught the end of the Bombers game, but Bombers have cut them up a bit running the ball. Just making awful mistakes at half forward.

Man, if the Saints or Bombers play like they did today we will blow them away.

I don't think Roughy is fast or agile enough around the ground to have the same defence that Ayce does. Not sure on his tank either. I do like his contest as a ruck though. Stay second ruck for me.

Bruce deep, Membrey hit up and Hickey almost wing/ half forward.
Most likely Reiwoldt and Montagna back next week their forward
line rotates heavily they were impressive today.

I like Hrovat. His disposal yesterday however was abominable. Far too rushed, and either went to no-one or to them.

He'd be going before Fletch for mine. Particularly with Morris still missing.
