Nearly had a heart attack. Ben aint the best player in the world but we have been developing him over the last 4 years and he has just come good. And to trade him to Carlton of all clubs just when he has come around would be tragic.

The suggestion is Carlton's 4th round pick for both Harford & Johnson.

And according to CH7 the Bolton to Hawthorn deal is off as Essendon wanted too much for him...no mention of Jacobs though.

Lol, somehow I doubt Brad Johnson would end up at Carlton. If he did they would have to hand over half their list and if he did the Whitten Oval would not be standing within 15 minutes of the announcement

Marcuz I'm worried that trading Bolts is really going to hamper us short term. Say Jacobs goes (which I hope he does, he is surplus 2 needs), who do we play as a Key Defender when Fletch gets suspended. Lucas, Yes. Wellman isn't a KPP's arseh*le, Hunt will be good but needs to get himself right upstairs, Solomon can do a job every now and again. Leaves us a bit short. I'd wanna keep him

Bolton hardly ever played back anyway....Hunt and henneman who is a better chb than ruckman...throw in richards and im sure we will draft a tall kid who at a pinch could play if a lot of injuries came about. I think sheeds is planning more for an assualt in 2005 than next year anyway
