Being completely sober today, this has to be the worst coverage for a major sporting event ever. Shit production, shit audio, passionless. Doesn't even feel like a grand final. Horrrible.

Terrible coverage in every sense of the word.
Poor buildup, terrible telecast through the game with replays over live action, bad angles and the two old ducks in Commetti and McArveny are like 2 old women at a retirement home calling a game for the residents, sharing their personal jokes that everyone else thinks are naff.

DO NOT CUT AWAY FROM LIVE PLAY!!!!! It's so simple, a fundamental part of a sports broadcast, I can't believe they continue to show pointless replays which result in us missing ruck contests, kick ins & umpiring decisions. Nowhere near good enough.

Wouldn't that make it a good call? The director got footage of Luke Ball being a decent and gracious winner... A lot of Pies and Saints fans would have been proud of him for that.
