LeStat's family is a model of moderation compared to your lot. Why do you think your family migrated here in the first place. Yes, the police records were conveniently lost.

Australian Immigration rang up and asked if your lot were criminals and the Commies said, "of course not, you should keep them."

I'm quite happy to be reasonable and accept that your family doesn't have a history of interfering with goats.

So, you wish to regurgitate an argument that even Collingwood supporters acknowlege you were thrashed in. Now we know you know nothing about football AND politics.

Would it be reasonable to assume that the reason you have presented no substantive evidence of the alleged illegalities of Martin Kingham would be because you have none,and in fact were just saying the first thing which came into what is laughingly called your mind?

If not, are you entirely mad, and simply not worth conducting conversations with?

What the **** do you mean i sound like i come from Liverpool.Never been to the place but the ratepayers are entitled to have facilities like everywhere else.I suppose you paid cash for your house car and all other major purchases or borrow like the rest of us.They borrowed so the citizens could have facilities as aknowledged by the Ceo of the time a prominent Lib.

Also if the borrowings were for infrastructure which they were they are good for the community

Typical dumb person/chip on the shoulder attitude.

These things cost money, and if you can't afford them then 'deserve' has to take the back seat. History tells us that Latham spent too much too quick and left future councils with a $5m annual interest bill.

ps: A public pool is a luxury. Plenty of wealthy council areas don't have them

1) I borrowed responsibly unlike Latho. I haven't put generations of my family in debt, and haven't put myself in a position where I can't afford necessities because all my income is going to loan repayments.

2) The CEO is hardly going to say anything bad about the decisions as he would have had a hand in them and therefore would have been admitting fault.

3) Do you not know how to use commas? You must have some inkling about your lack of education, so what makes you think you can understand concepts such as responsible lending?

What's coming out is that Latham is no more than a big mouthed thug who couldn't manage a p up in a brewery. He dishes out and can't take it when put to him..and worst of all he cracks under pressure. What sort of PM would he make.

Well wasn't all that an anticlimax. Nowhere near the kinghit the gullible thought it would be.

I tend to think all this scrutiny of Latham will backfire on the tories and make Latham even more appealling to the suburban battlers.

As for peering into the private peccadilloes of politicians, I really don't give a rats - do the whiners here and elsewhere suggest we probe into the shenanigans that the likes of Chifley, Curtin and even pig iron bob got up to? Or perhaps we could look into Howards close working relationship with Pru Goward...

As for lathams record in the liverpool council; the jury is still out on that one. Latham has said that the debt issues arose after he left the council because those who managed the council after him failed to follow his plan. Not quite as cut and dry as some of you rocket scientists make out. It should be noted that Latham did produce surplus budgets in his years as mayor.

I will say though that anyone who gets a vote of no confidence from 250 council workers is doing something right.
