He’s got a few weeks off, and will have to come back through the sanfl and from his form in the sanfl this year no coach, especially one under severe fire, could justify picking him.

I’m concern would be that at some stage he kicks some goals in the sanfl later in the year and Ken wants to give him a goodbye game /s. But gee, Dixon has been so far off it I think even that’s unlikely.

If Marshall doesn't compete like yesterday and goes back to that stretch of 4 or 5 games where he didn't chase, tackle and harass and didn't get in front, as Timmy G kept getting stuck into him over that period, then he opens it up for Charlie to get selected when Ken is under pressure after a couple of losses.

Does Tom Morris have the most punchable face on the AFL landscape?
Not only that, grub hasn't learned his lesson about his school boy antics, calling Bartel g a y at the end with "that's why you retired" and being all smug at his "zinger"

Such a C you in the NT

The current AFL landscape should surely show that gay slurs are very much still common

Him doing well is counter productive in many ways to the longer term prosperity of the club, but... I don't mind seeing him do alright because he at least tries. He's not very good anymore, he never was elite, but he's clearly trying out there to get whatever he can, whatever's left in his old legs and concrete hands and iffy skills and wiry looking beard, out on gameday.

Gosh knows we've got enough laconic players who pick and choose when to compete.

Nonsense, at his best he was an All Australian in 2020 and also finished 2nd in our B&F (outstanding for a key forward) in 2017 when we played finals. When he was in his prime and fit he was a monster of a player, it was only his body that let him down.

He could be a pretty good player when he was on but you'd be mad to think he was ever amongst the elite KPF of the times. Elite, best of the best. One all-australian is not that to me. A high point of a runner up BnF is not that to me. Plenty of good ordinary players can have a great season and earn an AA. DBJ has one. Elite players back it up. They make a career of it.

Never elite, not even close to Hawkins level.

The truth was somewhere in the middle, he was not an elite kf, he was easily a level below them, but he was a level above the mediocre kfs as well.

Good kfs are very hard to find much less elite kfs. Quite a few teams in the league field spuds or just don’t even field 2 or 3 kfs cause they can’t find capable kfs.

we could wait another 100 years and not see a kf remotely near tredrea in a port jumper.

Unfortunately Dixon is also a moron, on and off the field. The way he’s been used by the coach has been detrimental to our team, and Dixon , even being fitter than he ever was at gcs has never come close to the 2.6 goals a game average he had in his last season with gcs.

He should be finishing his career as a port favourite well loved by the fans, instead he’s played on too long and insulted the fan base.

His best was elite, but his body let him down and he's played under a coach who made his life harder than it needed to by structuring a game play where he gets triple teamed and has the ball bombed on his head.

I think he's a gun, a step below the absolute elite but certainly a fantastic KPF worthy of a couple of extra AA guernseys than what he got.

He's as much a victim of Hinkley's ****ing shit gameplan as anyone. Hey Chuck come to Port and we'll park you under hospital balls 20 times a game for 8 seasons and the wheel you out to attack the supporters so they all hate you.

It was a terrible decision for him to come to Port, probably cost himself 150 career goals and several AA guernseys.

Lol Dixon Q&A in the record.

Says the best part of footy is the money, watches 0 games a week and wishes seasons went for 16 games.

No wonder he defends Hinkley so much. Another Ollie Wines waterskiing moment where it's clear that the club sees winning as something that happens if it happens, don't let it get in the way of your social life.

Reality is he is still our 2nd best key forward, ahead of lord, scully, Marshall. Amazing that somebody realised so late in season, that stripping 5kg off an aging injured player, would help his mobilty, remove stress on joints and help his game. So Professional we are not.
