I was terrible at that timed thing - to start with I thought it was 1 minute per turn, not 1 minute for the whole game. Seems that the person who got timed out lost, so quick nonsensicle moves were the go?

You get the strategy now. A style which you can play without thinking is key.

The highlight was when i moved my Queen and it dropped on a different square than i wanted, allowing him to capture it with a pawn

I’ve never played a team variant online so I’d be interested as to how it goes. I do like King of the Hill as a solo variant.

Not that it would have made much of a difference, i think.

Also I have kinda worked out how to use the app. I will now look for a list of usernames (if there is such a post, i suggest stickying it)

I've been looking at individual members' profiles and you can see their ongoing games through there. Not sure if there's a better way though.

Because of your win you're now above each of them in the ladder. If you wanted to challenge upwards perhaps Hoos Harvey Manfrenjensenden or Test Tickle ?
