Joined. New to Chess and a rookie

Welcome! There are some good videos on the site.

First thing to do is get a game together. Find BoydOBoyd on the members list who's also joined, press the board and set up a challenge with a 1 day time limit (1 day a move, though you'll be quicker). Then, when they accept enjoy!

I tried teaching myself chess a couple months ago. I don't think my brain is built for it, I am not sharp, but I am sort of eager to test the small sliver of knowledge that may have slipped through. I never actually played a human, I mostly spent my time doing online chess puzzles and occasionally playing the computer (the computer went undefeated against me in roughly 100 matches).

So, in. Joined under Marlowe96, fwiw.

Good stuff.

Find TDCBF member, then click on the board and create a challenge of 1 day per move. TedDougChris will then accept and away you go!

Chipmunk wtfamidoingherelol v LiquidCrow 0-1

Survived a tricky gambit which I vaguely remembered from childhood. Would probably have blundered on move 10 in a faster format.

Well, Kennedy Parker is third in the ladder and next in line!
