Universal Love Chris Judd *11/8 Update - Set to play on in 2015*

An interesting although unlikely hypothetical

If Judd plays 18 games next year injury free, and we finish top 4 but lose a prelim, does he go around again if feeling good? Or is it one more year regardless?

Personally I think we are on a pretty good path and if we can solve our mental/effort issues then the sky is the limit as we plug a few more spots in the best 22 with seconds players and drafting.

Interesting he said the reason he was playing on was a few 'changes' and he didnt want to be stubborn about his decision to retire so quickly changed his mind. Wonder what it was?

Judd not done yet :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

Carlton midfielder Chris Judd will play on in 2015, with the Blues champion indicating his intentions to continue his glittering career into next season.

Judd, 30, met with coach Mick Malthouse and interim chief executive Andrew McKay on Monday morning to outline plans to sign a one-year contract extension for a 14th season.

The dual Brownlow medallist said today he was closer to re-signing at Visy Park.
"Yep, yeh, pretty close," Judd told Footy Classified.
"(I) spoke to Mick and Macca today and hopefully we announce some stuff soon."

Judd is expected to confirm the decision on television on Monday night.

So, to summarise and paraphrase what CJ5 said:

- "I'm playing on in 2015, probably around 18 games a year, deal still to be decided, plenty of Visy cash but."
- "Earlier in the year I said "CBF, stick a fork in me, I'm done" but changed my mind about a month ago."
- "Happy Husband, Happy Life. It's totally a thing."
- "Stop asking me questions about my pay. Yes I took a significant pay cut, now move on."
- "It's crazy, the current group of Carlton players actually wants to win. It's fun to try."
- "The club told me to say that we still love Mitch Robinson and Jeff Garlett."
- "Mark Robinson is a bottom-feeding, boozy, insect."
- "I wanted to win a Premiership with Carlton. They duped me when I transferred across. That makes me a sad panda."
- "Considering I have made millions of dollars playing a game I love, you aren't tricking me into saying I can't stand the attention my adoring fans give me. Clown."

Did I miss anything?

9:40pm tonight on @Channel9 All the latest on James Hird's explosive court appearance, Chris Judd one on one and an angry Gold Coast Suns!

Anyone know if he'll actually be on there or is it just a two second filming of him walking to the car?

Pressure of not being seen as our number one player... His body holding up after the horror injury run and his speed returning. He's happy with life and I also get the feeling with Mick and the changes that have transpired recently in the club has given Chris some optimism and enjoyment in his footy life.

A Judd free of burden and happy with himself is going to be a beast next season.

What odds a Brownlow? Should be a good price early days.
